First class
We stayed here for 2 nights and this hotel and staff did not disappoint
From checking in to checking out everything was done with a warm and friendly smile by all staff
The room (343) was of a very high standard very comfortable bed and the bathroom was also of a very high standard
We didn’t eat in this hotel but had a drink in the New York bar which was very nice
Will definitely book this hotel again for our next trip to Prague

Disaster!
Everything is fine after I transfer from bad treatment from Carlos Buscalo Authograph collections hotel of Marriott to Marriott downtown Hotel. All the downtown Marriot staffs were very kind and very helpful and accommodating compared to Carlos Buscalo. Until when I’m ready to go home and used the regular taxi instead of the limousine of the hotel was a big mistake decision. The driver is a crooks and bully you and cheater. They charge you for dropping you off the airport that it says free parking which he shouldn’t park to begin with bec the entrance to the airport was just in front of him. This was a big nightmare situation and when I reported it to the airport staff, especially ladies , they didn’t care. So glad that I found some fellow Americans and told them the story and help me out. I wish to come back but changed my mind due to their own people. This is not a very hospitable country. So sad for them!

An excellent 5* hotel (and be aware you can get great deals at the last minute)
I have to be honest, I did not book this hotel when I first planned to go to Prague, but another which had a very high Trip Advisor traveller ranking (I am sure you will be able to find my review). However, when that did not live up to expectations on my first night when I was alone, and my husband was due the next day, I decided to go online and see what deals there were. I don't suggest planning to travel to a city with no accommodation the night before going, but I have to say that from my experience there were a lot of deals out there. So, for little more than I had paid for basic accommodation, I moved to a luxurious 5* hotel! The hotel had just changed hands, and when I checked in, I also found out that it was a Marriott, of which I am a member, and so as an added bonus I got upgraded! Sumptuous decor throughout the hotel, very comfortable room, great breakfast and superb indoor pool and leisure facilities. My only criticism would be that it was very warm whilst we were in Prague in early Spring, and it was a pity there was no outdoor terrace to sit on. Although I am giving an Excellent rating, I am aware that had I paid full price, I might have been a little more picky about it.

5 star opulence in Prague!
The overall experience at the Carlo IV was truly fantastic. We received a room upgrade to one of the Exclusive Rooms which was most appreciated.
Staff were fantastic in all departments, and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast/bar services.

Breakfast was amazing with so much choice and variety, but as expected 5 star quality. One of the best breakfast selections I have ever experienced.

Concierge and porters were most friendly and helpful as were the spa team. What a spa, another memorable experience!

The building itself is truly magnificent, with beautiful features and full of grandeur. Location is wonderful as only a short walk from the Old Town and many bars/restaurants within a short distance and very reasonable prices.

This is our second DA hotel and we will definitely return to another very soon! Thanks to all at Carlo IV for creating some very special memories!

Beautiful Hotel
This hotel is extremely beautiful, one of the best I have ever stayed in. Everywhere smells like fresh flowers and all hotel staff work extremely hard to keep the hotel's beautiful appearance up. The hotel is a 5-10 minute quiet walk into the Old Town Square and you can even cut through a shopping mall as a warmer, quicker option.
The room was cleaned everyday and we were extremely well looked after. Check-in and check-out was also a breeze. I never used the spa facilities, but I did go down to take a look at the lovely pool which my partner used and enjoyed, would recommend this hotel to anyone!

5 star luxury hotel that ticks every box
I booked this hotel for a long weekend to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday and it exceeded all our expectations.

On arrival we were offered food and drinks, the receptionist was very friendly and we had a good introduction to the hotel and it’s facilities. When we arrived at our guest room we wee greeted with cake and a birthday card and drinks. What a lovely thought.

There was just about everything on offer at the buffet breakfast from omelettes to fresh salmon.

The spa facilities are spotless and looked after throughout the day, staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband had a deep tissue massage and said it was wonderful, worth every penny.

On our last night we had amazing food in the hotel restaurant, very reasonably priced we thought for the quality. Our waiter was most attentive and polite.

Could not fault the hotel, it is 5 star luxury throughout. Would recommend to all.

Another wonderful stay at Carlo IV
Last weekend was my third stay at Carlo IV in Prague. I really love this place.
It´s not just because of the lovely building, but also due to the extremely engaged staff.
Before arrival, I also had some questions for the Guest Relation Executive. Galina went back to me very quick and address all my topics.
As Marriott Rewards member I felt truly appreciated. Welcome gift was waiting for me in the room and I also got an upgrade.
Breakfast is just perfect, there are a lot of choices to pick from.
Thanks to the Carlo IV staff, I´ll be more than happy to visit again soon.

Solid property
Service at this hotel was friendly and warm. I was especially please that they really went out of there way to extend benefits to me as Marriott platinum member. Both explaining standard benefits and giving me an upgrade that was more than required by the program.

I had booked a larger room to avoid the small room issue in other reviews. Though the upgrade made this unnecessary.

I will. Not that my room had no view to speak if, so if this important I suggest calling to see if they have rooms with views. Although given the location, there’s not much to see but street.

Speaking of location. It’s convenient to everything, but immediate area won’t blow you away.

Breakfast was quite good as well and the hotel has a cool indoor pool.

Best Hotel in Praga
The best experience in a hotel.
The wonderful decoration
The ability to react to a delay in the arrival to the opera was impressive, grateful once more.
They did more than I expected, they made me feel like royalty
In the restaurant even though we were out of hours, they had the charm and kindness to assist us, some exotic pasta, great wine and the lovely conversation with the waiter.
The precious SPa, moment and experience that you can not lose.
The red Bar that is on the side of the piano, in the entrance lobby, perfect for a luxury Whiskey, Negroni,
The Corinthia Hotel in various parts of Europe that we have been to, have always been up to par.
Recommended, again and again !!!
I would go back ... always delighted
Once again, thanks to all those who work for that hotel, who made great nights of that night

The hotel is just beautiful - in really nice condition, rooms are beautiful, beds very comfortable, pillows excellent, breakfast excellent, bar great, pool and spa great. Staff just fantastic. Location superb. A short ten minute walk to the old square. Only thing to be cautious of is choose a room facing the back of the hotel and not the front on the main road. There are trams that run along the street in front until midnight and then again at 4:30am. The hotel has double windows - it's not the sound - it's the vibration of the trams that comes through and kept us all awake both nights. But we'd come back again - and we will - but will ask for a room facing the back. Other than that - a great choice for Prague. Thank you to Petr and Martyn for their outstanding service.

I come to Prague often for business and first time I stayed in this hotel. Absolutely gorgeous building and spa, delicious breakfast, unfortunately, you need to pay extra for the Eggs Benedict even breakfast costs 25 EUR. I stayed in beautiful historical suite with the view to park, nice feeling of the old grand hotel. Very friendly reception people - Pollena and Leyre, manager Jan prepared nice czech beer in room, very nice welcome, thank you, spa is beautiful, I enjoyed on maximum. Will be definitely back!

Wonderful hotel. Very grand on the entrance and the breakfast was superb. Only fault was it was a little warm (dealt easily with good air conditioning) and twin beds instead of a king (again no big issue). Staff, food, drink and location were all fantastic.

Better late than never; what a fantastic experience it was !
Back in Nov 2017, I have booked a room there to propose my girlfriend during the suprise trip to Prague I organized for her. The hotel staff was very supportive in this process and they went beyond expectations: I booked a limousine service from the airport (and the limousine was spotless, it was a brilliant service), with their help I got flowers been delivered to the room (the hotel also organized for rose petals to be put on the bed to form an heart shape). They also offered us a free ugrade to the Presidential suite from the Junior suite booking I made (which was, at that time, the best room I could book online). All of this to say that our trip to Prague has been just magical and this is in part thanks to the amazing service we got from the hotel.
I am aware that a such old review won't be relevant for nowadays trips as I guess the hotel/staff/services have changed a lot since then. But I wanted to share how wonderful our experience has been at that time and that every year we still remember it.

The Carlo IV is a truly stunning luxury hotel, in a gorgeous historical building in the centre of Prague. We arrived early and there was initially some trouble finding our reservation due to the airline but the front desk worked very hard to rectify the issue and were very welcoming, and we were able to check in on time.
The location is fantastic, with all amenities just a short walk away. The spa facilities are excellent, and staff are very helpful. The aromatherapy massage was the best I’ve ever had. There was also a wide variety of tasty and healthy options at the breakfast buffet. Overall, a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to go back!

Had a great stay in the hotel, it's so GRAND feels like staying in a palace!
Rooms were comfy, when I arrived bit smell of damp but when the window open the problem solved.
Location is SUPER, close with restaurants, the sight seeing area and shopping area.
Breakfast spread is huge and lots of variety, definitely happy tummy.
Staff very friendly and speak good English, shout out to Kenny that so helpful during check in.
If you looking for a hotel to stay in Prague, don't hesitate to book here.
