I rarely submit reviews as I believe if you pay for a service you should receive a good one! This hotel exceeded all my expectations. Location absolutely perfect, within walking distance of most sights, public transport stations also very close by. The hotel itself, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable - molton brown bath products - a bonus. What made this hotel top class was it's staff. Extremely attentive, professional but friendly, nothing was too much bother. One staff member in particular, Ivana, was exceptional.

Excellent in every way, above and beyond service
Brought my wife for her 50th birthday to Prague and chose this hotel from previous reviews. We love it and everything about it. The service was second to none and there wasn’t anything that was too much trouble. The staff are attentive and very helpful and were able to anticipate what we needed before we knew them. We have travelled the world and stayed in the top hotels in many cities and this experience was literally up there with any of them. Put simply, stay at the Alcron when you visit this beautiful city and enjoy it. Whilst we were keen to experience local restaurants we did eat in the La Rotunde and the Be Bop bar and both were excellent. You have to try the cocktails in the BB bar

Hotel Alcron is in the heart of the city. Everything is walking distance from the hotel.
When we arrived we were greeted warmly by the receptionist named Ivanna. She was really friendly and gave us lots of information regarding the city.
Other staff around the hotel friendly and were always smiling.
Our rooms were spacious and very clean. The room provided all the essential we needed.
Overall it was a fantastic stay and would recommend it!

This hotel is fantastic, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Ivana deserves a special mention she took the time to explain about the hotel, the dinning options and pointed out places of interest that we might want to visit. She then showed us to our room and explained about our room, including the hidden tea/coffee making facilities.
The interior of the hotel is stunning and very tidy. The room we had was of a very high stand and spotlessly clean. The complimentary bottles of water were most welcome.
Hotel location was excellent with most of the landmarks in walking distance. We look forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful and best service in Prague
We have never had hotel service this good. The staff seemed to actually enjoy being kind and gracious. They were all superb but Frank and Zbysek are in a league of their own. As others have said, the rooms are clean with great amenities but the staff made it feel like we were coming home at the end of the day. Their restaurant recommendations were perfect and they were really great with directions. The hotel food was delicious and the bar was the best bar I've been to. Great drinks with themes and 'toys'. All around a fabulous experience in our favorite city. We will stay here on our next trip.

first class
Please check out my other reviews to see I always leave an honest opinion, good or bad.1

our flight was cancelled from prague so easyjet put us up in a hotel. This Hotel !!! upon arrival we walked in and thought WOW !! Check in was so easy, no issues with the vouchers we presented, everything explained clearly to us, and the staff were so amazing and polite. Also asking if we had return transport to the airport the following day and if not, they would sort it for us.

Went up to our rooms we had 538. Lovely, clean and spacious and decorated art deco style which I adore. Molton Brown complimentary toiletries, including mouthwash which I have never seen before in a hotel room. We also threw our disposable toothbrushes away as we thought we were coming home and they provided us with these also.

Went into the bar to order food, and again the service and staff were exemplary. Food was delicious, and we could have what we wanted to a limit which was then paid for by easyjet. Everything was put onto our room, and then the voucher taken off upon checking out the following morning. The gentleman serving us was lovely and friendly but very professional. Even down to serving our food with white gloves on. AMAZING.

The cocktails in there, well what can we say. Each individual cocktail is themed, and comes presented in that theme. Absolutely wonderful, and well worth even a night there to experience this.

Bed was huge and comfy, and bath was super hot, which I love.

Breakfast - we went down and was immidately greeted by two staff who took our luggage and coats so we didn't have to take them into the breakfast room with us.
Lovely choice of food including fresh salmon my hubby tells me. My only thing and bear in mind im being really picky and fussy with this was there were no beans, unless they hadn't come out at that time, which was 6.30am when breakfast was starting.
Fresh squeezed orange jucie with bits. YUM !!!

Checkout was easy and fast, and we were actually gutted to be leaving this hotel, and have decided when we return to Prague this will be the hotel to stay at in future.
Its two mins walk from Wenceslas Square which is a prime location, and tobe honest, I could go on all day about how wonderful this hotel was, but you really should try for yourself.

This hotel is in my top 3 of all hotels ive stayed at, its simply that good.

Exceptional service
The Alcorn hotel was fantastic for my husband, myself and our daughters. We booked in at the last minute .They were really friendly and efficient at reception .Zybsek in particular was very helpful. The rooms that we were given were on the 7th floor and beautifully appointed and comfortable. The beds are huge and we all loved the Molton Brown toiletries. The meal was delicious. The hotel was really busy and everyone whom we met was happy and smiling and worked very hard. The staff make you feel welcome. The waiter Jacob was great fun and very enthusiastic Reception had organised a taxi for us and everything was perfect. It will be my hotel of choice in Prague . Michael Chour the manager must be very proud of his team.

birthday weekend break
Just returned from a fantastic weekend away to this beautiful city and have to say staying at this hotel made the experience complete.
On arrival we were greeted by the concierge who took our luggage and showed us to the check-in desk where we were in a queue of 2 and were offered a coffee while we waited (3 mins max)
checked-in with the most professional, helpful and friendly staff we've ever encountered, they smiled consistently and nothing was too much trouble.
Our room was spotless and more than adequate (Classic room) We were asked what room we preferred a view over the street or quiet and tucked away.
Breakfast was extra but well worth it there was nothing more you could ask for, meats, cheeses, fish, full English, cereals, croissants and fruit along with every drink available, 5 stars
Be Bop Bar was fantastic, yes it was a bit more pricey than other bars but the staff and quality of drinks made us stay there every night, we even had an evening meal there the first night as we were so tired from a long day and we had an amazing Mushroom Risotto meal and Duck. It was my Wife's Birthday the second night and it was made fun with exceptional cocktails and fun staff.
In summary I only write reviews if the place i stayed was appalling or was exceptional and this hotel was definitely the latter minutes from the city centre but off a quiet side street.
We can not recommend this hotel enough. It's the first hotel we've stayed in where the bed is more comfortable than our own and usually you cannot wait to get back to your own bed. Thank you Alcron for a great weekend.

Just perfect
We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend. We booked the deluxe room and the room was very spacious.
It also come with 1000 kc per room per night at the lobby bar that serves unique cocktails and nice music. The breakfast was wonderful with fresh smoothies and a la carte dishes.
The staff was helpful and very nice.
Short walk of a few minutes to the main streets , transportation and shoppingס

Spacious room (suite), very clean and well maintained. Excellent restaurant and bar, both architecturally and in terms of excellent food and top desserts. The bar knows how to mix excellent cocktails. The receptionist Mr Koumal is very helpful and competent.

Nowhere! in any hotel (I spend about 70 nights/year in hotels all over the world) have I encountered so far that Nespresso coffee capsules are charged (here approx. 1.60 EUR/1 piece) in rooms that are equipped with Nespresso machines. I don't think a hotel of this level has a need for this, do you?

We choose this hotel mainly because it is fairly close to the railway station and we are very happy to have stayed here! The room we stayed in was beautiful, spacious and very quiet. We were asked what side of the hotel we wanted to stay, we choose the back but the street it is on is not very busy. Very comfortable beds too. The cocktail bar is also highly recommended, they do a great job there. Finally I want to mention the very friendly staff, both the porter and the people at the desk, particularly Petr who helped us with everything. Great service! We look forward to our next visit!

We had such a wonderful time in here. We were here for 3 nights (at the first week of January), and it was pleasant and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious.
The rooms are a bit old fashioned style, but who cares if everything else is great?

Great location. Air-conditioning didn't work and the nights were stifling. The staff where very apologetic but not able to fix the problem despite changing our room. Had several nights of very poor sleep, which unfortunately did impact what would have been a perfect break in beautiful Prague.

A nice hotel located in the center of Prague and about 10 min walking from the old town. The staff at the reception are super friendly and the lobby of the hotel is very beautiful. There is also a bar and a restaurant that I didn’t have the time to try. The room that we got was spacious with a very comfortable bed, a couch and a TV.

The hotel is normal, but…The hotel is undergoing renovation work! We found out about this when we arrived, no word during booking, no information on the website. We were on the road for 7 hours and wanted to rest, our rest was accompanied by the sound of the drills. On Saturday morning at 8:30 the drill and hammer started working again!
Dear customer service or service department: this is not the way to do it! You have to provide information about the lack of silence in your hotel (I will not even mention the lack of aesthetics, which you expect when you come for a weekend in Prague).
P.S. But reception works really good and kind.
