Prague visit
I’d thoroughly recommend staying at this location. It has 8 rooms, the service & hospitality is outstanding and it is situated well for the Palace area.

They actually allocate you a butler to take care of any requests/requirements which is really nice. Also worth attending the free cheese/wine session at 5pm each day!

The decor is outstanding and our room was spacious compared to other places we have been to in Europe.

A Luxury Home Away from Home
I really cannot say enough good things about the Alchymist Prague Castle Suites! It is a luxury and a privilege to be a guest there. I spent three nights and I felt like I never wanted to leave. My best friend and I stayed in the Emerald room, which was airy and spacious, with access to a rooftop terrace - the ideal place to wind down after a day of sightseeing. Our Butler, Luca, was such a joy to be around and he made us feel as if it truly was his pleasure to help us with anything we needed. We felt like we made a new friend in him! The concierge staff were helpful, friendly, and eager to please. They sent a car to the airport to pick us up, made dinner reservations, got the Jacuzzi going within minutes so we could relax after hours of walking, made us special breakfasts, and brought us buckets upon buckets of ice! :) The Castle Suites really does feel like a private home with superb staff. The location as also a big plus, being within very easy walking distance to the castle as well as the city center. The immediate neighborhood was also quiet and safe, with lots of nice restaurants and bars to choose from. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience and I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I got the chance

Luxury Boutique Hotel In Prague
We visited Prague for two days and wish we had stayed longer. This wonderful hotel is located just steps from Prague Castle and Charles Bridge. It shares a quiet square with the Czech Parliament offices so you know you are safe. The rooms are lavishly decorated and comfortable. Breakfast each day was served by the hotel's "butler". With just 8 rooms, the service and ambiance is superb. The hotel staff are exceptional, they are there to make sure you enjoy your stay. We arrived by car but the hotel offers a free transfer to the airport or train station. There is an afternoon wine and cheese buffet in the hotel lounge. A nice way to relax after a long day of touring or in our case when we arrived at the hotel after a long day of driving. They also arranged a walking tour of the Prague old town and castle with a private guide. This was the highlight of our visit as there is just so much to see and learn about this wonderful city.
If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, in a great location with an attentive staff this is the place to stay in Prague. We did visit their "sister" hotel a few blocks away. If the Alchemist Castle Suites is unavailable the Alchemist Grand would be a good choice.

More than a hotel
It feels like your in your own private residence not a hotel.
Staff are exceptional, very informative and help with anything and everything you could need for a great experience of Prague, restaurant reservations, getting around Prague, asking if you have your day planned or need any help, to even running a jacuzzi bath after a long day walking the sites..
Rooms are very well appointed ..
Although other reviews talked about breakfasts being great, I thought they were more ok, coffee and fruit juices plentiful, cereal limited, and cooked breakfast seemed to be left on a warmer for several hours not looking very appetising all would have been better prepared fresh, I am not a great fan of butter and jams in plastic packaging, especially for a 5* establishment, I would say breakfast was quite repetitive, ok if your only staying for a long weekend.
Having said that was my ownly criticism, and even so would stay again in the future.

Exemplary Hotel
My sister and I booked two separate rooms at this exquisite small boutique hotel. Ten years ago, I stayed at the Alchymist Grand Hotel and had such a pleasant time that I had little doubt that this would also be a great place to stay. The hotel is smaller and more intimate than its sister hotel. Each room is individually decorated with antiques and period furniture. We had rooms that flanked the library, which made us feel like we had the whole floor to ourselves. The hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood just beneath the castle complex, but two blocks from the Mala Strana square, from which one can catch trams. I especially enjoyed its to all the nearby gardens. It is an easy walk to the Charles Bridge, as well as the less crowded Manesuv Bridge. The solitude of the neighborhood is only interrupted by an occasional garbage truck; other than that, I slept soundly with the windows open. Our beds had memory foam mattresses that were very comfortable after a long day of walking and exploring.

The public rooms include the reception area, the library, and the breakfast room that also has evening wine and cheese for the guests. Each of these rooms has fresh cut floors and are beautifully appointed. Our breakfasts were at a large round table where we had an opportunity to chat with the other guests. The array of breakfast items offered is varied and delicious. When the weather is mild, one can sit on a small terrace adjacent to the breakfast room, and be afforded view of the castle looming above. We were waited upon by two different gentlemen during our week long stay there. Whenever we wished for a cappuccino or latte, or in the afternoon, a glass of wine, they were they there. Likewise, the front desk staff is very professional. When we had questions or requests, they were helpful, and when we desired to be on our own, they were unobtrusive. Housekeeping was very good as well.
I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Great Service with some problems
The Alchymist Prague Castle Suites is well-located, just below the castle and only about a 3-or-4 block walk to the Charles Bridge. The room (#7) was spacious and generally comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast was excellent, with tasty coffee, breads, fruits, fruit juice, eggs, smoked salmon, and many other items to choose from in a buffet layout. Since the hotel is small (seven rooms and one suite) there is only one table from breakfast, a round table seating about eight. It was ample, however, since breakfast hours are long and we never had more than one other family at the table when we ate.
There is another perk to stay at Alchemist. If you walk around town and decide you are too tired to walk back to your hotel and you are near one of the other Alchemist hotels, they will arrange a ride for you back to your Alchemist. We did not take advantage of this perk, but it could be handy for some.
OVERALL, we really enjoyed and highly recommend Alchymist Prague Castle Suites.
We experienced two issues. First, room #7 is on the top floor and heat rises. The air conditioning was limited on how low one can turn it and it was relatively hot outside (upper eighties in late September) and the room took quite a while each even to achieve a comfortable temperature. If the high temperature will be below about 80 when you visit, this would not be an issue for you.
Second, the water heater circuit breaker tripped twice, leaving us without hot water twice and having to request it be fixed. For us this was not a major issue.
Summary, we recommend this hotel for its service, general comfort, breakfast, and location.

Beautiful hotel
This hotel was beautiful, quiet and in an excellent location (5mins from stairs to Prague Castle). The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of offerings. Our room had a large very comfy king bed, a huge bathroom with a tub and a terrace (with views of part of the castle). The staff were extremely nice and helpful. I wish I had understood what the butlers were supposed to do for us. Perhaps having a list of things they could do for us or bring us would be helpful. We also didn’t understand if there would be an extra charge. The butlers seemed very eager but we didn’t know what to ask them to do.
Two small criticisms—the water was not hot on the first day, but staff fixed the problem within 1-2 hrs. quite prompt. They did not give us enough bar soap—1 small bar for 2 people for 4 days, but they gladly gave us more when we asked. And, the toiletries were l’occitane! So nice.

Best hotel I've ever been to
My wife and I spent 12 days here for our honeymoon and I can honestly say that this is the single best hotel that either of us have visited. We were looked after from the minute that we arrived to the minute that we left.

The location of the hotel is very good for visiting Prague - since it is located in the middle of hradcany, it is very close to both the castle complex and malostranske namesti, which is a useful tram stop for easy access to the old and new towns (plus the top of the castle if you don't feel like walking up the hill).

In terms of amenities, the hotel had everything that we could ask for. The room was air conditioned with a powerful, remote control air conditioner that could be left on throughout the day, rather than being linked to a room key. This was a lifesaver, as temperatures outside were routinely in excess of 30 degrees C. The room was well furnished, and every bit as good as it appeared to be in the photograph.

An added bonus is that the hotel came with a jacuzzi and sauna downstairs. These would be prepared for use on request, and the small number of guests in the hotel meant that we had them both to ourselves whenever we needed them. Similarly, the Alchymist Grand Hotel just down the road had a fine spa and wonderful restaurant, each of which came with a 15% discount due to us staying at the Suites.

Some parts of the hotel sound too good to be true, but they really are as advertised. The wine and cheese tasting does happen on a daily basis, sometimes accompanied by a pianist. You really do have a butler on hand between morning and evening. We found the butler service to be a highlight - all of the butlers that we met were courteous and helpful. Matthew was particularly good.

If we ever find ourselves in Prague again, we will definitely try to stay here again.

Like living in your own palace!
You are treated like royalty at this hotel and the decor is palatial. The rooms have beautiful beamed ceilings, Murano glass chandeliers and elegant furnishings. It is a delightful oasis on a quiet street away from the crowds of Prague but very convenient to the tourist attractions. Our rooms opened out onto the library, giving us a private living room. The hotel offers complimentary transportation from the airport, sparkling wine upon your arrival, wine and cheese every afternoon and a delicious breakfast each morning. Our wish was their command.

Alchymist Prague Castle Suites.

This is a lovely place to stay all the way around. Our guest room was extremely comfortable, very modern bathroom, comfortable bed, fresh fruit in the room upon arrival and little cookies left each day after housekeeping. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, greeting guests each day at breakfast (which was also lovely) in their own language. They were great about helping us find places to go for dinner, tickets to shows, etc. There is a nice fitness room and beautiful jacuzzi spa for couples. This facility has an old world charm and devotion to personalized service that made our stay just perfect. Highly recommend.

Peaceful location very close to the castle complex, pretty (and immaculately clean) room with excellent water pressure in the shower, tasty breakfast, and extremely attentive employees. The mattress was the most comfortable of our trip by a huge margin. We got a couple of recommendations for restaurants from them and both were exceptional. Easily walkable to public transit, though they will also arrange transportation if you prefer.
