Scandic Byporten Oslo

Rooms are very, very small. Really small. After using the shower the bathroom is flooded. The room was not well cleaned although it was so small. The lobby feels like a cheap hostel and has vending machines. The lady at the front office was not well informed and didn't know the ferry to Bygdøy is not operating yet. There is no bar. Overall very expensive prices for a cheap hostel atmosphere. The restaurant used for breakfast was good though. It belongs to the Egon restaurant chain. Very well designed, good food and friendly service. Maybe because it does not belong to Scandic? Not sure if I would book this hotel again.

It's a nice and convenient place to stay if you're in town for a short while. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are nice. The breakfast is buffet served at the Egon restaurant right next door. The breakfast is standard hotel buffet but it's high quality. I recommend eating early because it'll be hard to find a place to sit.

Love the location. Breakfast at Egon restaurant good selection but had to wait in line both sat and sunday. Believe this due to staff shortages as less than half the seating was open for use. Would like to see pre-sliced avocadoes, some nuts,and perhaps som biola products.

Hotel in the middle of Oslo city, next to the railway station and a shopping mall. Perfect for taking city exploration trips. We had a family room with 4 beds, it was okay for sleeping but we wished it was a bit more spacious. Breakfast is next door at Egon's and very good. Facilities in the hotel are limited, there's a lounge and a small gym.
