It should have been so good .... but unfortunately. Came from Copenhagen on Thursday and had to be examined at Odense hospital on Friday due to serious illness. Had therefore chosen an overnight stay at an inn in anticipation of peace and quiet, and good and personal service. Had by order told the hosts about our situation, and there they were very accommodating - but then it stayed with it too! We arrived in the middle of a rush hour for fried pork and parsley sauce, there was no time to receive us properly, and you did not feel welcome - you felt almost inconvenienced. Our wish to eat in the room was answered with that then we had to pick it up ourselves, because they did not have time (the room was at the far end on the 1st floor, and we are older people) - I said no! An absolutely friendly and very sympathetic waiter had certainly perceived the situation. He later came up with our ordered entrees and apologized for the bustle. The food was very delicious and tasty! The breakfast was fine, but they had set us up at a table where 2 other guests were sitting - in the otherwise empty restaurant. We even moved our table setting to another table. The room was absolutely neat and clean. Had we felt welcome and met attention and service, we would definitely have come back once a month for the next many months when we go for treatment in Odense. Busyness or not - it had been so little that was needed to make it good for ALL guests, even those who should not have fried pork and parsley sauce, and therefore I would not recommend Fangel kro.
