My husband and I finished our France vacation in Marseille at the Hotel Les Bords de Mer, and couldn't be happier with all the memories made! The accommodations were superb, our view of the beach and ocean priceless, and we lived for the spa/rooftop pool. All of the team at the hotel were so welcoming and hospitable. Antony was the absolute best! If for no other reason, we will come back to see Antony. We are beyond grateful, see you next time!

Stayed here for one night as we were passing through Marseille on our way to Nice. Incredible view from our room. The balcony was perfect - enjoyed a bottle of wine as the sun was setting. The room was clean, just enough space, and had robes, slippers, etc. We didn’t need anything more. The breakfast was great! Service/concierge was pretty busy but very polite. They even booked us a reservation at a restaurant near by (we asked for a recommendation). 5/5 experience, highly recommend staying here.

I stayed here for my first trip to Marseille. The view is absolutely breath taking! I would recommend upgrading to atleast the sea view option (well worth it!). Rooms were small but it wasn’t a big deal for just the two of us. Room decor and bathroom were well done, and the bed was so comfy! Air conditioning got nice and cold. Fruit water throughout the hotel. I enjoyed using the indoor pool and sauna. Cafe is cute but I would have preferred a wider selection of food and coffee but it wasn’t a big deal (I’m a picky eater!). Staff was extremely friendly.

We had a sea-view room on the first floor: the view was devine, but the room itself was really small, which made unpacking quite impossible. At the border of the sea there are some rocks where locals come to hang out and swim during the whole day. Since the windows aren't equipped with mirroring coating on the glass, this made me feel a bit uncomfortable leaving the screens open in our room and bathroom - but since we booked this room for the view, that's kind of a bummer. As for the rest of the hotel:
- the rooftop pool has an incredible view, but there is no bar there. The staff doesn't come up on a regular (enough) basis, which results in towels and empty cups everywhere and seagullpoop all over the border of the swimmingpool. (Or swimmingpoop in this case).
- the wellnesspool in the basement is really small and there are only two daybeds. Because of covid the hammam was out of service and the sauna was broken - could only heat up to 40°C.
- staff forgot to switch our swimmingpool towels, so when we went to the wellness, we had no towels. When I went up to the reception area to ask for some, there were none available because they were all in the laundy. We had to go to the pool with a tiny 40x70cm towel. This is not the service you expect for this price.
- dinner at the restaurant was really good and we can very much recommend this! Our overall feeling is that the hotel has many assets to be successful, but lacks commitment and responsability from the staff. Since the rooms are not cheap, we expect more service in this pricesegment.
