We had a sea-view room on the first floor: the view was devine, but the room itself was really small, which made unpacking quite impossible. At the border of the sea there are some rocks where locals come to hang out and swim during the whole day. Since the windows aren't equipped with mirroring coating on the glass, this made me feel a bit uncomfortable leaving the screens open in our room and bathroom - but since we booked this room for the view, that's kind of a bummer. As for the rest of the hotel:
- the rooftop pool has an incredible view, but there is no bar there. The staff doesn't come up on a regular (enough) basis, which results in towels and empty cups everywhere and seagullpoop all over the border of the swimmingpool. (Or swimmingpoop in this case).
- the wellnesspool in the basement is really small and there are only two daybeds. Because of covid the hammam was out of service and the sauna was broken - could only heat up to 40°C.
- staff forgot to switch our swimmingpool towels, so when we went to the wellness, we had no towels. When I went up to the reception area to ask for some, there were none available because they were all in the laundy. We had to go to the pool with a tiny 40x70cm towel. This is not the service you expect for this price.
- dinner at the restaurant was really good and we can very much recommend this! Our overall feeling is that the hotel has many assets to be successful, but lacks commitment and responsability from the staff. Since the rooms are not cheap, we expect more service in this pricesegment.
