ibis budget Marseille Vieux-Port

Room prices are good compared to the prices in the vicinity, although given the simplicity of the facilities I would not call it Ibis "budget". Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast is good, compendious and includes some Gluten Free options.

We booked one night in the hotel because it was cheap, near to the old port and also because we tried other ibis hotels in some other places. It is correct price but the room is just for sleep is super little and the worst part there is only one elevator in the hotel so we had to wait a lot to get in moreover the stairs were closed and we couldn’t use have access to them. One thing, if you go out of the hotel at night do not pass from the shortcuts of the stairs because there are drunk people who kept talking to us.

The location of the hotel is fantastic and the size of the rooms are fine. Unfortunately they are quite dated. The first room we stayed in had smushed dead flies on the walls and hairs in the bed. Our comments were nicely taken by staff though and they changed us to another room immediately. If you’re looking for a budget hotel in Marseille, this is probably the way to go.

A budget hotel, where you get what you pay for. We visited Marseille and needed one room for 2 adults and a child. The room is very small, but if like me all you intend to do is have a place to sleep this place does the job. Location is very good and allowed us to really explore Marseille and see everything it had to offer. Very close to transport and even within walking distance of many places of interest. Can't fault the staff or the service. Fresh towels and bedding were provided every day. On the last day for a nominal fee we were able to store our luggage in secure lockers while we had some lunch before making our way to the airport. Highly recommended for those who just need a place to come back to and sleep. Breakfast is available here, however we opted to go out for our breakfast.
