Radisson Blu Hotel, Malmo

Really nice hotel with an attractive location in the city centre of Malmö. Clean and nice room with comfortable beds. Good breakfast but a little stressful to eat at booked appointment and 20 minutes at table. Hard when you're there with kids.

Stayed here for one night in room 751 as a Radisson Gold member. The check-in experience was bad, the agent was friendly but not very knowledgeable. The in-house parking garage has EV chargers (they are hidden in a corner in the back by the green wall area), but the agent said that it didn’t have chargers and we spend multiple hours going back and forward to another garage. We did receive a free upgrade, but it felt like a huge downgrade. We booked two twin beds, but ended up only getting one king bed. My mother had to sleep on the sofa which wasn’t comfortable. The room was very old, reminded me of the soviet-era hotels. On the 7th floor nearly all ceiling lights in the hallways were full of spiderwebs, cleaning could be improved. I spoke to Emelie and Julia from the front desk team in the morning. They were super friendly, apologized, compensated us and gave us a complementary breakfast. Due to this solution I am giving them 3 stars instead of 1 star. I would advise them to train their night staff better, so they have the same knowledge as the day staff.

We stayed here just one night on our way home by car. The service was nice, the room was huge and the breakfast was very nice. In the evening we wanted to make ourselves a tea but the waterboiler in our room (506) was broken. We called the reception and they immediately came to give us a working one. So that was nice, problem solved. The other thing we noticed o  the day of arri al was the smell in the hallway of the 5th floor. It smelt like old sweat from towels or shirts. Not very welcoming and nice. The day after the smell was gone, luckily. All in all a nice stay.

While it is an old hotel, better maintaince of room furnishings and fittings are necessary. Room was not cleaned to a good standard. It was very dusty and visible dirt in the bathrooms, tiles, shower, carpet and desk. Bathroom sink was blocked. Infromed 3 staff members. Nothing was done about. Rceptionists seems very sad and depressed. Will not stay again in this hotel in Malmo during next visit.
