Decent hotel. Stayed in one of the Zaha Hadid rooms, which was quite incredible. For fans of her studio’s work, I would say it’s quite worth it. The bathtub was absolutely massive and the room was full of nice design details that made it a special stay.
As for the hotel itself, it doesn’t necessarily live up to the rooms. The look and feel of the hotel, in general, is a little dated. The one thing that looked modern — the bars — were temporarily closed presumably because of the pandemic. One restaurant was open at the time of visiting that I did not try out. Room service and staff were nice enough and accommodating. Overall, for a 5-star hotel, I would expect a little more attention-to-detail and a fresher look.
Lastly, it’s in a good location. It’s not in central Madrid but it’s easy to get there via public transport or taxi. Expect a decent stay but not luxury.
