Very elegant pleasant hotel good location
Elegant hotel in a historical palace, completely renovated.
It is located on one side of El Retiro park with views on the park and access very close buy.
Rooms are very spacious, with modern features and very nice modern bathroom.

Breakfast room is magnificent with good quality fresh ingredients.
Cehck-in very quick and smooth.
Same for check-out.
The gym is small but the key things are there

Beautiful hotel, convenient location
Being located in what used to be a rich private mansion, this hotel features amazing common spaces, namely lobby, stairs, corridors and restaurant that make you feel you are in a movie. Beautiful large room, exquisitely decorated. Excellent breakfast. I regret you can hear noise from the nearby street, despite the double windows, and the heating did not function well (winters are cold in Madrid).

Great location and rooms
Loved the location! This hotel is located right across the street from Parque de Retiro and walking distance to several restaurants and bars. Also convenient to bus stops or the metro. Great service from the staff. The bed was super comfy and I thought our room was pretty large. Loved the chocolates from the turndown service. Great breakfast as well, but my only complaint is about the coffee - not good, better to enjoy the nespresso machine in your room

Great lunch on Hotel Palacio Del Retiro
We had a family lunch in Hotel Palacio Del Retiro and were all overwhelmed of the quality of the selected dishes and the warm-hearted service - it was a great pleasure and we will be back soon - next time not only for lunch but enjoy the excellent service of the hotel being located in one of our favorite locations in Madrid

Excellent hotel in Madrid in great location
We recently stayed here 2 nights while visiting Madrid. The hotel is very small - 50 rooms I believe- but it is in excellent shape. I was upgraded to a corner suite which was extremely large room and bathroom. The room was very clean and the service while we were there from the staff was great. The front desk staff on every shift was very friendly and helpful and always happy to assist in planning dinner or excursions. The location of the hotel is across from the park and close to several restaurants. It is a short walk to all the busy parts of Madrid and we were happy to be away from that area. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning travel in Madrid

Good little hotel
I was only in Madrid for one day and I decided to try this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. It is located right in the center of the city, 5 minutes walking from the Ritz, nearby all major attractions. The staff was friendly and quick. I was checking in late at night after a long flight. The room was big, the style was a mix of old and classic with modern and new. The room had dark wooden walls, very high ceiling and many bookshelves with books. Interesting decor. Overall I have No complaints. Good hotel for a tourist or on business

Great location, friendly staff and a good nights sleep
Very nice hotel conveniently located just across the street from the park and nearby many shops and restaurants. The front desk staff are especially friendly and helpful and overall I found the service very warm and personal. Breakfast was nice.
The room itself is quite small and not a real desk so not suited at all for working, other than that a perfect place to stay.

LOVELY THREE NIGHT STAY
We stayed here three nights on points. Our room faced the interior courtyard with no view but the room was very quiet and comfortable. As we were both suffering from colds, the room was a welcome refuge. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel but rather chose to have coffee and pastries at one of the numerous cafes in the area. We did have a nice lunch and early evening drinks in the cozy bar.

The location is perfect. The staff were very attentive. Anytime we needed a taxi, the staff were very prompt in hailing one to the front door. We bought tickets from the front desk for the Prado Museum which allowed us to avoid standing in a very long line in the cold rain. The Retiro Park across the street is lovely.

A small glitch in the housekeeping one day was quickly corrected and a hand written note of apology was sent to our room along with a plate of fresh fruit. A nice gesture I thought.

I would definitely consider staying here again

Review:

High Points: the largest bed we've ever had in any suite, anywhere... we could have slept 7; Jesús in Room Service was a charm and someone we looked forward to seeing every day with our café con leche; the sizes of the rooms and suites; the terraces; heated towel racks in the bathrooms make convenient drying towels and laundered items

Low Points: a very quiet, sombre entrance is completely understated and not grand; the Nespresso station offers capsules AND tea bags, but each room only provides espresso cups, making tea drinking impossible; even though we booked via marriott.com at a single rate for several nights, one of the nights came at a higher price -which we've never encountered at Marriott-Bonvoy-affiliated properties

Unique Points: the room air purifier and cleansing system; the staircases to the rooms; instead of a pillow menu all types of pillows already appear on your bed

F&B Big Threes:
Food: wonderful miniature tortilla españolas in the morning
Service:wonderful caring staff
Ambience: cute corner restaurant overlooking Retiro park with gorgeous bar

This stunning hotel just adds to the beauty and perfection of Madrid. Across from the Retiro Park, the location is awesome for using as a base to explore the city and get in a stunning walk back.

The front staff couldn't be better nor friendlier. The room was extremely large and had a beautiful courtyard view and with this being an old residence, the staircase, hallways and nooks are something to see and photograph.

What's missing? The food was nothing to write home about and the glaring omission for this hotel is the lack of a pool and rooftop deck. While this hotel is well worth the stay, and you shouldn't find too much time for a pool when in a city like Madrid, the views in the Retiro area from a rooftop deck would be jaw-dropping.

If you're looking to stay in Madrid, stay in this hotel which is just as beautiful as the city.

Guillermo kicked off our stay on an incredibly high note as he checked us in, and things only got better from there. He was so kind, so enthusiastic about the hotel and the area, and so helpful. The restaurant he recommended (Lateral) was great, he helped us figure out how to get a COVID test to return to the states (and got us a discount on the price), and every time we saw him through the whole visit he was so enthusiastically friendly that it truly elevated our second stay in Madrid. Management: give this man a raise!

The hotel itself is also great. The location next to the park and near the golden triangle of museums was perfect for us. The room was spotless, large, and well appointed. The history of the hotel itself is fascinating, and the common areas are beautiful. It’s not the _most_ convenient location for trains, but we like to walk everywhere so that wasn’t a problem for us. We’d definitely stay here again.

This is truly a beautiful 5 star hotel located in one of Madrid's most grandious areas.
The decor, the style, even the smell is wonderful! The staff is super friendly.
However, there is a but...and that is why I can't give it a 5 star. The rooms are quite noisy. Ensure you do not get one facing the main street.
It would help if the floors were carpeted instead of wooden as one can hear the other guests, which can disturb.

This hotel is absolutely amazing.  The rooms are large with great views.  But what really sets it apart is the service.  From the front desk to the restaurant to the room service team everything is done with class and graciousness.   I would highly recommend this to any traveler can can’t wait to come back.  Five stars!

One of the best luxury hotels in Madrid. It’s supported by a great team of professionals that take the best care of you, luxurious rooms a wide array of amenities, great breakfast service and even a surprisingly delicious 24-hour room service. My only comment is for management to improve the acoustic isolation of the rooms to make it perfect.

The hotel itself is nice : good location and beautiful decoration. The choices for breakfast is limited but it’s enough for me. The coffee machine can do only expresso or americano(no cappuccino or macchiato), Only orange juice and still water (no apple juice and sparking water).
There is some misunderstanding with my reservation and I appreciate the gesture of front desk.

Description

Location
Overlooking the beautiful Retiro Park, our hotel is located in the epicenter of Madrid, next to Prado Museum, the shops of Serrano, and Atocha station

Rooms
The 50 rooms and suites, many with views across the park, are all a good size and combine period architectural details such as cornicing and marble fireplaces with sleek contemporary fabrics and furniture and wooden floors. The ones on the second and third floors are the grandest and most spacious, with the Presidential Suite occupying the former library, which has mahogony-panelled walls. All have a coffee machine and kettles are available on request.

Food & drink
The pleasant bar serves great cocktails, snacks and tapas and hosts flamenco performances and live music events on a regular basis. The adjoining restaurant specialises in Mediterranean cuisine, with a menu including tuna tartare, line-caught hake, steaks and salads. There is 24-hour room service.

For breakfast, there is an attractive buffet with ibérico ham rolls, pastries, wraps, cereals, yogurts and fruit. A range of juices and smoothies, as well as almond and soya milk, are available. You can choose hot food from an à la carte menu featuring omelettes, eggs Benedict, toasted sandwiches, pancakes and waffles. Orange juice and coffee are served at the table
