Such a great place to stay at. I stayed here several times while I was in Madrid and the price is excellent for what you get. The location is also what I liked best. The staff was super friendly too. Some are saying that you have to leave keys at reception when leaving but that was not the case with me as I was allowed to take it with me no problem. Only thing that annoyed me was having to “register” my friend who only visited me briefly to go to restroom in my room. They literally scanned his ID. No big deal and from experience i guess this is common in Spain. But yes i would definitely recommend especially if you are on a budget. Will be back myself!

Great place to stay if you’re looking to spend the night out in the gayborhood. The only thing I definitely disliked is having to leave the key at the reception every time you leave. They say this is a security measure to prevent other who may find the key or rob you from stealing your stuff from your room. However, I think it’s mostly used to prevent any sort of “adult” activities since the bars are just downstairs...
Overall the beds are little too firm and at times it felt like the AC did not work correctly, but I did enjoy my stay here. Great value for the amount you pay in perspective to the location.

Good:
The location of the Hotel is fantastic and the staff was friendly and spoke english.
AC was limited to one setting but that was cool enough to battle the hot weather outside.
The bathroom was clean.
Bad:
The first thing we noticed when entering the room (every single time) was the sour smell in our room. Opening the windows got rid of it for some time.
Our sheets were never changed throughout our four day stay. To make matters worse one larger pillow had stains on it. We put it away so that we wouldn't have to deal with it but the housekeepers apparently just put it back onto the bad and under the pillows every time without noticing the hairs inside it and the yellow stains on it. Cleanliness is not something the guest should have to ask for :/
The pillows also had strangers hairs in them. And it wasn't like you had to search for them thoroughly.

This hotel has a great location off Gran Via and provides direct street access right in the heart of Chueca. It is clean and tidy in the rooms, although it is quite small. At least they provide basic toiletries and you get a private bathroom.
The only minor inconvenience is having to drop off/pick up your room key everytime you come and go. Walls are also kind of thin so any loud hallway noises will disrupt your sleep!
