Excellent stay in a gorgeous hotel!
After arriving very early in Madrid, we found out that our rooms were already available and we could freshen up and drop our luggage off. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and our concierge recommended two fabulous restaurants in the vicinity. The rooms were spacious and absolutely beautiful with their free-standing bathtubs. We wished we could have stayed longer!!

PRESIDENTIAL SUITE
My suite was clean and well equipped but the bed.. that was the highlight! I haven't slept so well since a very long time. Travel tip: book the presidential suite If you want to have a special bathtube to snap some nice photos on it.

Chic place in the heart of Madrid
I only had one night experience in this beauty of a hotel but can not blame anything.
Well located, kind and helpful staff from the concierge to the waitress, clean and with that touch of chic that I love. I Hope to be back soon!
Highly recommend!

A fantastic weekend in Madrid
We recently had the great fortune to spend a weekend at the Gran Hotel Ingles. We could not fault our experince at the hotel in anyway, from the moment I contacted them direct to arrange the booking to when we reluctantly left for the airport in the hotels limousine. Based on our experience you can fully trust all of the positive comments you will read about this hotel (and be suspicious if you do find any negative ones). Every single member of the hotel staff that we came into contact with could not have made us feel more welcome, without making us feel uncomfortable in anyway by their attentivness

Classy and intimate, great service
Staff were impressive throughout. High quality breakfast (and catered for gluten free and lactose free without blinking an eye). We were upgraded to a suite. This was two normal rooms end-to-end, making one long (slightly too narrow) room with a full bathroom at each end. Very well appointed with beautiful bed linen and towels and a ‘hip bath’ in the living area, which allowed a deep and surprisingly comfortable bath (for one). If you have a suite, ask for an extra key, as if one of you is out with a key, you will only have lighting in one half of the room. No views in any of the rooms but designed so that it didn’t matter. Nice touches like cake and fruit on arrival and olive oil as a parting gift. The bar area/lounge at street level is well designed and relaxing, if marginally too bright in the evenings. Overall a classy, relatively intimate place in a brilliant location for exploring central Madrid

Perfect place, impeccable service
An outstanding beautifully designed hotel with amazing staff who anticipate your every need with impeccable courtesy. A great location and easy to walk to all the main attractions in Madrid plus in the middle of loads of restaurants and cafes if the hotel restaurant is not enough. The breakfasts are amazing!

Surpasses the hype
Our family of five spent seven glorious nights in three rooms, including the Eschegaray Suite to which we were upgraded. This was perhaps the most perfect hotel experience we have every had. Where to start? It is quite simple: the service!!! The entire staff is at the top of their game -- passionate, dedicated, professional, knowledgeable, perfectionist, empathetic and full of genuine affection for their clients. The concierge staff orchestrated our entire stay from restaurants, to shopping, to cultural sites,to guided tours by expert guides and informal walks through the beautiful streets of this wonderful city. Every restaurant (lunch and dinner) knew our name and we always had a well-placed table waiting for us. We even had the two hour, fifteen minute "hold" rule waived at Bibo at the concierge desk's request. Taxis were always available and a day trip to Segovia with private car was one of the highlights of our trip. The chamber maids were delightful and brought anything you requested in minutes with a smile on their face. Each night they delivered little gifts (L'Occitane products, virgin olive oil, sweets and chocolates).
Breakfast each morning was a delight. There is a small buffet, beautifully presented and full of quality products. Coffee was unbelievable and our kids couldn't get enough of the hot chocolate. Al lacarte dishes were wonderful --- eggs Florentine, eggs Benedict, the Mexican breakfast and the English breakfast were our favorites. The waitstaff was superb, always smiling and anticipating every need. The bar had excellent cocktails and knowledgeable barmen who were happy to create a drink using your favorite tastes.

Rooms are delightful. Great, spacious bathroom (great showers) and dressing area with plenty of closet space and hangers! I wasn't sure about the bath tub in the room and probably hadn't taken a shower in 30 years, but I found myself soaking luxuriously after a long day of sightseeing. Incredibly comfortable bed and bedding. We had two windows facing Eschegaray street which gave great natural light and were fully soundproofed.

I should probably thank those who were so helpful and gracious by name, but that would include over 20 people, a few of which I might miss. I would like however to thank the staff collectively for all they did to make this a memorable trip for my entire family. HGI feels like a second home. Never have I been quite so "blown away" with the excellence of this hotel. A great, great hotel with an even greater staff. I miss you all, but will be back to my second family soon

One of the best hotels I've stayet at.
Location is perfect and the staff is beyond amazing - I would especially like to mention Sandro and Xavi from the lobby.
The dining room area and lobby are wonderful and decor is outstanding.
Our room was very spacious and had 3 balconies. It came with a small extra charge, but totally worth staying at the premier room.
Would definitely come back to the hotel and recommend it to everyone staying in Madrid.

Amazing. Just amazing. This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The staff is super friendly and the food was amazing. There was a vintage bar downstairs that we went to every single day. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. 100% recommend!

By far my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at (and I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels). From check in to check out, the service was absolutely above and beyond. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and everyone from the front desk to the bartenders went out of their way to make us feel at home and special over our three day stay in Madrid. The rooms are so unique, pristine, and modern but with a nod to classic/historical elements and taste. We honestly cannot wait to go back and give them another visit the next time we are in Madrid! Cannot recommend highly enough!

I strongly recommend Gran Hotel Inglés - it was a 10/10 experience! My partner and I got married in Madrid in September 2021. During the week of our wedding we stayed at Gran Hotel Inglés having never visited in person before due to COVID. The hotel and staff went far beyond our expectations! It is a very stylish, trendy building in central Madrid (walking distance to everything you need). The rooms are incredibly comfortable, well designed with great storage and more space than you typically find in the city centre - for reference, we stayed in a Premium room with a beautiful balcony. The bar/restaurant downstairs is very cool and the perfect location for a pre dinner cocktail. We also couldn’t (and still can’t!) believe how incredible the staff were during our stay. The Gran Hotel Inglés team were very attentive and helped us with so many random jobs - dry cleaning, suit tailoring (and last minute button replacing) sourcing a local print shop with a 48 hour turnaround time, restaurant recommendations and bookings.. the list goes on! During the 5 days we stayed there it felt like we got to know the whole team who were all so lovely and genuine. They treated us and all our friends/family so much that it will be difficult for us to find another hotel we think as highly of!
Looking forward to booking another trip very soon after a memorable stay!

There are a lot of nice hotels that are well designed and feel luxurious. This is definitely one of those, the rooms are gorgeous and spacious. Great design, comfortable beds, huge tubs, rain fall shower is amazing!!! However, the thing that separates a good hotel from a great but most importantly a memorable hotel will ALWAYS be the staff! Every single one of the staff here was absolutely the best!!! That’s not a light compliment! I don’t just mean they are nice and professional, I mean they went over and way way way above anything that I needed to enjoy my stay. From booking me a motorcycle and having jt delivered to the hotel, to helping sort out the mess when it broke down and was with me every step of the way till I made it back to Madrid from Valencia (200+miles), they sent a Maybach to get us from the airport, they prepped dinner and full meal service in the room at 11pm. But generally speaking they were just really good people and engaging and helpful.
I would HIGHLY recommend you stay here, the staff are lovely, great location, beautiful rooms and a 2 Michelin star chef menu! Seriously for the price it’s 100% a great stay!
