Just Wonderful!
We had a wonderful stay at The Goring. It’s a lovely hotel but the main strength are the staff. Friendly, attentive and authentically proud to work there. So rare and so valuable. Brilliant location for the theatres in Victoria too. Thank you.

Manager saved the evening.
We went for the pre theatre set dinner ahead of seeing Hamilton. We had to get to the theatre by around 7pm so arrived at the hotel around 5.30. By the time we were settled in the bar for a pre dinner drink it was around 5.45. We ordered an Aligote white burgundy priced at some £60. We then had a Rowan Atkinson experience from the film Love Actually. The waiter took so long to open and serve the bottle that we were due in the dining room as it was served at 6pm. We had ordered our dinner in the bar so went through and were one of the first guests to be seated. We had both ordered the Risotto and Lobster omelette. The other guests were served their starters but no such luck for us. I called a waiter over and said we had to get to the Theatre by 7 so please get going. We continued to wait whilst the other guests were now eating their main courses. I finally spoke to the manager who apologised and said there had been an issue but that he was now on top of it. The starter arrived and was delicious albeit a little salty. As we finished the starter the manager served the omelette himself. We asked for the bill as there was no chance of being able to finish the main course. The manager brought the bill and petit fours and said we were not being charged for the wine and were welcome to return after the theatre for dessert. His generous and professional approach turned a negative experience into a positive one so well done!!

Wonderful Service, Courteous, Welcoming Staff
I received a last-minute invitation to join a friend in London. She was staying at the Goring, but it was full and I was forced to stay at another hotel nearby. I enjoyed breakfast and a late bite to eat at the Goring several times. The Goring concierge, I believe his name is John, found us good seats for a wonderful play, and also booked a table for us at a delightful café, Sally Clarke's, that I had visited years ago. He was helpful and most gracious. My hotel, which cost the same, was a disappointment in every way, compared with the service I received at the Goring. Staff were all well-dressed, courteous, and made me feel welcome. My week in London was most enjoyable, and The Goring experience was a large part of that, it's well-located, well-managed, and the food was good. I hope to return to London soon, and stay at this wonderful hotel.

Fabulous hotel in great location
Fabulously charming hotel where nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The rooms are welcoming, clean and comfortable. The bar is a wonderful place to have a cocktail by the fire and the breakfast is a marvellous experience. Can not recommend this hotel highly enough

This hotel was a great experience. When you walk in, the first thing that you notice is the architecture. It looks incredible. There are intricate paintings everywhere! The food is also very good. The only things that can be improved are the pillows. One of them was too soft, and one was too hard. Aside from that small minor detail, this is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at.

The best of the best.
If you want glitz and bling this is not for you. However if you want to feel valued and to be welcomed by every single member of staff this is for you. The bedrooms are beautiful and the bed linen sublime. If you choose a garden room so much the better. The bar is cosy and Brian Kinsella runs a superb operation. One of the few bars I feel happy in on my own.
Food in the dinning room delicious and if Kevin looks after you it will be a special event.
Any thing you need to know John and his team are very helpful. Anything you need Samantha Lopez is a joy and goes the extra mile to help. For me nothing comes close

From the moment you arrive at The Goring you are welcomed with a smile by Peter the doorman.
The reception team polite friendly made the check in extremely smooth.
We were shown up to our Garden Room where a bottle of fizz was waiting for us and a hand written note to both of us from the GM on our silver anniversary which was a lovely touch.
The room was quiet very clean and the bed so comfortable and the bathroom again spotless .
The cocktails in the bar were a treat, the George VI and Sweeny should come with a warning ????
The restaurant was as ever first class and the food excellent both for dinner and breakfast
We were made to feel special on our anniversary and we will continue to come back for lunches and dinners

The Goring is a quality hotel situated in Belgravia, within easy walking distance from Victoria railway and tube stations.

It offered excellent service from the minute that the front doors are opened for you, to the minute that you leave.

The staff are so professional and friendly; they want you to enjoy your experience.

The rooms are immaculately clean and warm. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was exceptionally good.

Some of the room furniture was period and rather tired.

My lovely sister and husband held a family party in the private Drawing Room to celebrate their marriage 2 years ago and also the fact that they’d successfully made it from New York to the UK for Christmas. The staff were so welcoming. The Drawing Room was so beautiful with divine Chinoiserie wallpaper - so cosy but grand too. Roberto was our waiter for the evening - what a wonderful chap he was, nothing was too much trouble for him, he was lovely. We had a fantastic meal. I had seared duck liver, Spiced pear and warm brioche - divine! followed by Cornish sea bass, lobster dumplings, confit leeks and a champagne sauce which was delicious and a very generous portion! Husband (and most of the family) had an absolutely epic Beef Wellington cooked to perfection! With cauliflower, a yummy yeast sauce and meltingly delicious short rib! I had the white chocolate, cranberry and hazelnut mousse which was a very festive finish, light and creamily delicious. Coffee and petit fits finished it all off perfectly. So lovely to all be together at last after2 years in beautiful surroundings with fantastic food and drink and our own lovely waiter! Thank you Jo and John for a really wonderful evening and here’s to many more happy years together!

The words fail to express the enjoyment and experience from the moment of entering the hotel. The service of the staff is inviting and professional, it took us a while to settle in and savor the charm of the place, and order from the varied menu. And when the first dish arrives, from the serving on the plate, to the first bite and the flavors you experience., WOW - take your time, absolutely amazing. Places that must be known in London. Highly recommend.

I had the most amazing afternoon tea at The Goring Hotel. I was gifted a voucher for the traditional afternoon tea for two. We each got a pot of tea, a selection of sandwiches, scones and a few little cakes too. I was surprised that as we ate each plate, a new one with more food was brought out. Our pots of tea were also replaced with fresh ones when we had finished. The staff were friendly and attentive. A lovely treat!

To start with, the employees are brilliant - caring, friendly, attentive and great personality!  Although having a personality in the hospitality industry might not seem professional, I love the authenticity it brings. Also, there seems to be a lack of communication among them, or it might be the lack of desire in finding better solutions. And it’s rather disappointing since the hotel is a medium size, and they can increase their efficiency. Nevertheless, they are a great team considering they’re still in the forming stage. Thought, I see potential in achieving the performing stage, I’m a bit doubtful.
Then, I’m disappointed in seeing the poor utilities for the employees. Contrary to the believe of customers are at the heart of the business, one needs to consider that a business is run by employees.  Yet, they are different types of stakeholders and a fair comparison could be difficult. Nevertheless, employees can make or break a business as much as the customers. Although, the building might pose some challenges in the renovation process, you should at least be able to have a proper ventilation system.
On the other side, the food and wine is close to heaven! The dining room holds several awards, among them a Michelin star. I especially love the presentation - colours, sizes, shapes, quantity (not to say that the taste is less satisfactory). Also, the wine list is undoubtedly one of the most fulfilling I’ve seen so far - with about 25 countries, and probably about 800 types (rest assured you have all the help to find your wine). On top of this, the prices are fantastic! Yet, I suggested you stay away from the tea since there is a need for a higher hygiene (not only rinsing the tops,  but using a special chemical, especially due to their material). Though, rest assured the place has 5 starts rating for food hygiene.
Adding to this amazing package, there’s the garden - gorgeous looking with all the flowers,  great size, well maintained. And the brand overall - with the cute sheep thematic. It’s indeed something really unique. So, you might want to try it at least once.

Sunday lunch at The Dining Room. The food was exquisite.  The service, impeccable. The environment just oozes class. Anywhere that hosts the Royal gets my vote.
Each and every member off staff was polite, engaging and made you feel special.
My wife and I had the good fortune to listen to the General Manager, David Morgan Hewitt speak on the Cunards Queen Victoria.  Since then we have wanted to visit and am so glad we did. We will definitely return.
