Wonderful Service, Courteous, Welcoming Staff
I received a last-minute invitation to join a friend in London. She was staying at the Goring, but it was full and I was forced to stay at another hotel nearby. I enjoyed breakfast and a late bite to eat at the Goring several times. The Goring concierge, I believe his name is John, found us good seats for a wonderful play, and also booked a table for us at a delightful café, Sally Clarke's, that I had visited years ago. He was helpful and most gracious. My hotel, which cost the same, was a disappointment in every way, compared with the service I received at the Goring. Staff were all well-dressed, courteous, and made me feel welcome. My week in London was most enjoyable, and The Goring experience was a large part of that, it's well-located, well-managed, and the food was good. I hope to return to London soon, and stay at this wonderful hotel.
