We had a great stay at Rosewood London. The edifice is admittedly imposing when you pull up under the arch at the entrance, but in the best way. Externally staid and formal, our experience at the hotel was anything but. We found everyone on staff to be profoundly cordial and approachable. We spent some long days exploring London and returning to the Rosewood each night was a most welcome respite. I expected small rooms and cramped baths in so stately a European hotel but our room was contrarily spacious and easily fit the king bed and a foldaway.
Although I generally avoid hotel restaurants when visiting a city with as many options as London, jetlag found us downstairs at The Pie Room one night and it was a shockingly good brasserie. If you're in the neighborhood, just eat there regardless of your accommodations. We invited some local friends to the hotel for a post-workday (for them!) happy hour and they were surprised a restaurant/bar so good lay hidden just a few blocks from their offices.
