This is a very rough, large, busy hotel in a grim area. It always smells of weed and there is shifty people loitering or coming and going at all hours. The car park is awful, very tight and dingy. Check in was incredibly slow. The keycards are not fit for purpose, they work once then have to be reset. The noise in the rooms from other guests, traffic etc is really disturbing. The air conditioning is there in spirit only, as it either does nothing or blows out warm air (when set to cold). The rooms themselves are functional with comfy beds, clean to a basic acceptable standard. They are also ancient, knackered, tatty, broken, scruffy, you name it. I’m sure they were luxurious in the 70’s.
Room 204 shown must be above/next to a public or staff area of some kind, as the noise of talking, banging, moving around etc was *constant*, morning and night.
But… it’s also a cheap London hotel near a tube station, hence the reason I’ve stayed 3 times now and always had similar experiences. Just make you only stay if it’s a very good rate, and be clear on what to expect.
