Classy afternoon tea
Such a lovely afternoon tea in a very unique and classy hotel. Decor is delightful and the afternoon tea was delicious. Scones were to die for and the cakes and sandwiches were good too. Lots of top-ups for drinks and the customer service is second to none. Do have a look at the clocks before you leave - a work of art that tells the time. Will definitely return again and on the look-out for deals. My friend has had dinner there which she enjoyed. The Ham Yard is a little oasis just off Shaftesbury Avenue

Just Perfect
I can't speak highly enough of this fantastic hotel. My son and daughter in law had their wedding ceremony and reception here late December. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well by all staff we came in contact with. Our room was Stunning, beautiful furnishing and amenities, the bed and pillows just so comfortable and was so welcome after a long day and night. For ALL the staff involved in the wedding I can't thank you enough for the wonderful food and service we all received. A wonderful memory.

Best hotel this trip
We were staying in a one bedroom apartment at the Ham Yard Hotel for three nights and it was wonderful. The place was a little crazy on arrival as there were so many people, but this was because it was the last Thursday before Christmas so everybody was out and about. Check in was friendly and efficient and when we arrived at the room it was a delight and very quiet. Beautiful spacious 75 sqm room - perfect - for our next trip and we want to stay a longer period. The beds and linen were so inviting and the little touches of pillow spray to spend you into an amazing sleep. Signature Kit Kemp products in the bathroom and plates and cups in the kitchen are so gorgeous we want to buy some. One day my glasses (reading) went missing and I turned the room upside down looking for them because I knew I had not removed them from the room. Turns out the cleaners had accidentally bumped them off the shelf and they needed adjusting so they had taken them away to get them fixed. This was dealt with efficiently and they can back perfect - only thing is a note in the room would have been better than down at reception, cause we could have avoided the search. Breakfast was delicious and we tried a number of things on the menu. Coffee was good enough for Australians and the staff were all very friendly. Concierge got us into some great restaurants at a very busy time, so they do deliver! We ate at the Japanese within the village the first night and it was absolutely amazing. We have been to Zuma before and enjoyed this just as much, if not more. This is the first time we have stayed at Firmdale Hotels and we will definitely return as this is the level of luxury and service we enjoy. Best hotel this trip - yes the most expensive, but it was worth it. Location is perfect for everything (theatre, shopping, food

Wonderful
My wife and I stayed here for one night after travelling to London for the Catherine Tate show. Reception was excellent and we were upgraded. The room was superb. The fittings were top class. The linen was best quality. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The toiletries were exquisite. The soundproofing was brilliant. The breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked. We thought the whole experience was unbeatable. We intend to return here every time we go to a show in the vicinity. There is a multitude of theatres within easy walking distance so we expect to be frequent visitors.

Trendy hotel in Soho.
Great bar for a relax drink during shopping in soho.
Mostly friendly staff (you can get unlucky like we did once but hope that is an exception).
Original rooms.

Nice place to stay.
Great Japanese restaurant across the entrance.

An oasis away from the madness of Soho!
from the minute we arrived, it was five star all around. Staff was very nice and helpful on check in.

Our room decor was very cool - we were in a deluxe room and I just loved all of the different textiles and color schemes. The room was the perfect size for us to have enough room to spread out after traveling for 2 weeks. And the bathroom - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. I actually used the bath to relax from a long night out prior and watched a movie while doing so. The shower is the best we have had - the water pressure is superb (we can't get water pressure like that in the US). Bath products were lovely and I immediately ordered full size versions when we got home. The bed and linens were perfect and so comfortable. One of the best hotel beds we have slept in.

Bar is very cool with a super hip vibe and nice bartenders. Room service was exactly on time prior to our early departure and was very good - the fruit especially was so good.

We loved the location. It is absolute madness outside of the alley but once you step back into Ham Yard, it is a lovely refuge.

And probably one of the best things was the service from the concierge. We had brought some wine that we purchased in Madeira because they were not able to ship back to the US. When we asked if they could recommend a place to ship it, they said they would take care of it. Which is always what we want to hear - took that stress off of us for the day!

This is probably one of our favorite hotels we have ever stayed (and we travel quite a lot staying at luxury places). We will be back

Stayed for my husbands birthday; received an upgrade to a deluxe room which was beautiful. Lovely touches, chocolate, champagne and a birthday dessert. Service discreet and welcoming. Public spaces busy and buzzy. Guest spaces very relaxing. Fabulous location but quiet and hidden from bustling Soho. Having stayed at a fair few London Hotels, this would be the one to recommend due to all of the above. We will no doubt return

Rarely do I leave a review but having had such a wonderful experience at the Ham Yard Hotel I feel compelled to say just how special this hotel is.
The spacious rooms are so refreshingly bright, smart and clean. It’s actually a pleasure to relax in the room beyond just sleeping there. The hotel’s public areas are equally as inviting coupled with great the food and excellent service you don’t ever feel the need to leave the hotel. However when we did tear ourselves away we found we were right in the heart of everything. It’s amazing how you can be in such a tranquil quiet cul-de-sac one minute and in the buzz of Piccadilly Circus the next minute!

Fabulous hotel. Beautiful decor. We had afternoon tea and the sandwiches and cakes were delicious. We were able to spend as long as we wanted chatting and eating and were never hurried out. The staff were helpful and cheerful. A very pleasant place to eat.

We had a superb afternoon tea as a celebration last week. It was an amazing interior and the food was delicious. A special mention to our waiter George who went above and beyond to make our day a special event, incredible service and a great attitude to life.

Highly recommended for a wonderful afternoon tea. Everything about our experience here was fabulous.
The hotel is beautiful, the food was delicious; a lot better than some other more pricier establishments I’ve visited, and the service was fantastic.
When I initially booked in November, I’d requested a little cake (if possible) to wish my future daughter-in-law a Happy Birthday. But due to illness I had to cancel and reschedule for January. I’d forgotten to get back in touch to ask if we could still do something to acknowledge her belated birthday celebration, and on the day assumed they’d forgotten too. But after we’d finished demolishing our food they came out with a cute little cake, complete with a candle and Happy Birthday written on the plate! I thought that was so lovely of them to remember, and it made her day too.
My friend recommended the Ham Yard Hotel to me, and I’m so pleased he did! I would definitely return again, and will be recommending to other friends too.

Loved this venue. Great vibe and super central. Service was top notch, had a great waiter for the evening to keep us well topped up. Would be back in a heartbeat! Could have got 5* if there was a proper vegan option on the bar menu (only olives and nuts which were nice but left a lot to be desired).
