Five Star Excellent Service
We went to Duke's hotel for a weekend getaway and we were pleasantly surprised by the superb 5-star service that we received. Joan and her crew were simply the best, they do not only give you what you need but they anticipate.
We experienced the Duke's bar martini which was a class of its own, and Glauco who was serving us was very knowledgeable. It's a fun experience worth having.
Dinner was perfect and everyone in the restaurant was very helpful, attentive and eager to explain the menu. We were overwhelmed with the staff to customer ratio! Simply amazing! Special shout out to the restaurant manager and her staff (Mary and Suzana).
Coming back from our night out at around 2AM we were greeted by a very nice and courteous concierge (Gordon) who served us water upon our request to keep us hydrated!
I also could not fault the service we received during Breakfast, Denisa and her crew were equally warm, accommodating and attentive. We did not only enjoy the wide array of choices but the high standard of service we received!
The checkout process was seamless, and the front desk crew and staff were efficient and vey helpful. I would just like to say a massive than you to everyone who facilitated our checkout on the 20JAN2019. (Michael and his crew)
Overall, a great experience! I could not fault the hotel and the superb service we received. Truly an unforgettable and worthwhile experience. Definitely coming back to stay in the future!!

Oasis of quiet charm just steps from Piccadilly
Of all the hotels I have stayed in London, Dukes Hotel is the best. Convenient location, quiet and comfortable. Attentive staff, knowledgeable and friendly from the porters, the front desk staff to the restaurant and room service folks and the bar staff, everyone makes you feel like you are at home. I stay here for a couple weeks every year, and it is so worth it. I would not choose any other place

Perfect Hotel in Mayfair
So happy to have found Dukes Hotel — idyllic and fairly priced in Mayfair. Impeccable staff, amenities, location — a perfect London experience! Lovely restaurant for an elegant breakfast, room service is divine, and the martini bar is not to be missed

Completely sublime experience
I stayed at Dukes Hotel over the Christmas period December 2018 and cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. The staff were extraordinary and went out of their way to make all the guests feel entirely welcome and shamelessly pampered at all times. The rooms are beautifully appointed with very strict attention to detail and the food at all mealtimes was sensational. Thank you Dukes Hotel, a true gem, and I will be back very soon.

Not the same hotel ...
Have stayed at Dukes several times over the past decade. It was always my favorite London hotel. No more. My more recent visit was terribly disappointing. The wifi did not work - even the premium, which the hotel offered gratis. The a/c unit did not work - they tried to fix it several times, and it kept breaking down. And the room was not cleaned thoroughly - which was not great. The staff was very apologetic - and the management reimbursed me about 25% of the total cost, which was nice. The final straw, however, was when I returned to collect my bags - after checking out earlier in the day - the young man at the front desk asked me if I had taken the mobile phone from the room. I assured him I had not but he seemed skeptical and kept telling me the cleaning person had not found it. I double checked my bag - telling him it had probably fallen by the bedside. He assured me that it had not - the cleaning person would have found it. I finally said: "Would you like me to go up and find it?" He quickly agreed (making me wonder - why am I doing your job?). I went to the room, looked on the floor and then behind the bed - and voila - the phone was there. Definitely in search of a new hotel in London. I did see the Stafford around the corner, which looks promising ...

It was the happy occasion of our daughter's wedding that brought us to a return stay at Dukes from 9/3-6/2021. It was the first of several stops on our way to York, and our entire family of 8 was warmly welcomed and all of our needs were professionally addressed by the terrific staff. Asst. Head Concierge, Ruel Malijan was particularly helpful given the size of some our dinner parties.
The rooms were well appointed and extra care was given to our 3yr old grandson!
Dukes location has always been one of our favorites, with so many things to do within walking distance.
Under trying times due to COVID, the staff was warm, accommodating and made sure our stay for this occasion was one to remember. Whether special occasion or just a trip to London we would highly recommend Dukes.

After the terrible battering the hotel industry has had over the last 2 years, I was delighted that my family arranged a surprise visit to London for my wife and I for my 80th birthday. I have been going to Dukes since the 1960’s off and on, and have enjoyed its quirkiness, and the wonderful atmosphere, and friendly service in the bar. I asked for help from reception for a couple of self created problems which they sorted for me with a smile. I wish them all well when they return to more normal times.

Loved everything about this hotel!
Iain, the Concierge, was a big aid in helping us make arrangements before we arrived, and while visiting. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and our breakfasts in the restaurant were terrific. The bar was lovely, and the martinis and other drinks were all as much as a knockout as we anticipated. The hot mulled wine and mince meat tarts delivered to our room were incredibly delicious (please share your recipes!), and I'm still thinking about them. Our room was beautifully appointed with everything we needed and nothing we didn't.
I cannot imagine ever visiting London and not making Duke's part of my experience.

I booked Dukes for an elegant afternoon tea for my sisters' hen party.
From start to finish, the service was impeccable; Dukes were able to cater for the dietary requirements of our group, of which there were many. The week of my booking I was contacted to ensure we had no further requests.
On arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our private dining area.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent - nothing was too much trouble for the servers and they kept our teas and coffees well topped up. Dietary requirements had been carefully adhered to, and as a vegan myself I was very impressed with the vegan offering.
The building is beautiful, and my sister absolutely loved her day.
I would certainly choose Dukes again in the future.

Amazing little Oasis in St James place. Famous Gin Martini Cocktail bar ????The 4th floor Suite (Duke of Albany) is so peaceful and quiet. Service excellent. Christmas food menu amazing. Have a relaxing snack, meal or coffee in the conservatory...or full blow out in the restaurant. Wow!

Every night at around 11:30pm a van comes to collect bottles and glass from this hotel and it disturbs the whole neighbourhood.
We tried to communicate with Iain from the reception and asked them to reschedule the collections to a more reasonable time. Iain was nice and promised us that the collections were rescheduled to 5pm.
A week later the van started arriving at 11:30pm again. I hope the hotel will start caring about the residents in the area and make noise within reasonable hours.

After so many wonderful martinis—so many wonderful evenings at Dukes Bar over the years—we finally took the plunge and booked a room for a night upstairs in Dukes Hotel. It’s gorgeous! Can’t recommend it highly enough. Like the bar, the hotel is a flawless gem. It is the epitome of classic London luxury. Great location, excellent service, outstanding eggs benedict at breakfast. Afternoon tea in the drawing room was superb.

Food & Drink
The GBR – the Great British Restaurant – is now an all-day brasserie. It has had a makeover and is improved in look and layout from what was Thirty-Six restaurant, giving it much more eye-catching, Twenties-like appeal, with distressed mirrors, black and white photos, and a 'bar' where you can sit and eat too. Chef Nigel Mendham is luckily still in charge and his top-notch, well-tailored menu features dishes such as pressed English rabbit leg (£14.50), braised ox cheek (£21) and South coast with a shellfish stew (£23.50).

Afternoon tea is also available (from £42.50) and breakfasts are superb, with a full table service and dishes such as Cumberland sausage brioche and boiled egg and soldiers (£6). There’s a comfortable, traditionally furnished sitting room on the ground floor and a canopy-covered Cigar and Cognac Garden. The fine bar, where Ian Fleming once downed his famous martinis, is presided over by the affably efficient Alessandro Palazzi. Cocktails aren’t cheap (from £17) but they are worth it.

Value for money
Doubles from £320, including breakfast and Wi-Fi.
