The staff were lovely, and very helpful. That’s my only positive. This is some kind of half way house for locals. There are ‘ladies’ constantly smoking at the front door with their slippers, pyjamas and dressing gowns on. There is a side door too for disabled access via a ramp. Further towards the back of this ramp, at the rear of the hotel there were always two or three people down there smoking marijuana. Its a very intimidating place, i feel very sorry for the families that live there with small children (there seemed to be a few families residing there). On our second evening there was constant slamming of doors and voices chatting, stamping the corridors as if back and forth downstairs to go for a smoke. We hardly slept that night, my autistic daughter was a bit scared. I didn’t go out the corridor to confront anyone as i wasn’t sure if they were off their head on drugs or something. I spoke to reception on the Thursday morning, the staff were extremely apologetic and told me to inform them straight away if it happened again on our last evening. Luckily, it was quieter that night. Towels are rather grey, instead of white. Bedding seems a bit scruffy around the edges. Only four clothes hangers for three of us who were staying for a three nights. Rooms were clean though. If i were the owners/management, i would give it up as a hotel as its just not fair for paying customers to see all that goes on there. Would have given a zero, but no option to do so.
