Lovely Boutique Hotel
Stayed 2 nights in Feb so it was not so busy.
Great property with fantastic interiors.
Check in was very efficient and room was ready right away.
Room is a bit small (around 25m2) but the bathroom is quite big. Shower floor is slippery as they don't use floor tiles and instead opted for some kind of plastic or epoxy kind of floor finish, so best to take extra care.
Breakfast was something we both looked forward to as it was fantastic. You order off a menu and they serve it ala carte. Portions are quite generous.
Location could be better though. Alfama is in the old district and is quite far from where the action takes place. Although if you prefer a quieter part of town, this will be the place. When we wanted to go to the good restaurants, we had to walk a good 20-25 mins or take a cab to bring us there.
But I guess location depends largely on the kind of traveller you are.
Now that I've stayed in it, I will probably stay at a property that is more conveniently located next time.

Best hotel and view we ever had
We stayed in the panoramic view suite, and wow is it a view. The Alfama is the most charming area of Lisbon and this hotel was just the best part of our Portugal experience. Every person we encountered in the hotel was kind and helpful. There's a cafe that serves great coffee and breakfast on the bottom floor and a restaurant bar as well. The location doesn't have normal traffic running through so it was nice and quiet throughout our stay .there's also a terrace on a lower level that was very pretty for sunrise. What a magical place!

Fantastic boutique hotel
Nothing but raves for this boutique hotel. From the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, to the beautiful rooms, great bar and free breakfast. The owner, Manny was very helpful in guiding us to great walks and sites to see. Alfama is the older part of Lisbon and holds alot of charm. Highly recommend!

wonderful hotel, wonderful staff, wonderful ambience
This was our first time in Portugal. We had a total party of 9 family members. The Santiago was the most accommodating hotel in terms of service, cleanliness, sleep quality, guiding us through the town, guiding us through restaurant selection, etc. Everything was top notch and perfect for our stay. The accommodations were incredible! The jewelry was amazing - my wife loved the ring!!

Beautiful family run hotel in perfect location to explore Lisbon.Much nicer than staying in the city centre which is a short walk or tram ride away.Even before we arrived at the hotel reception arranged a transfer from the cruise terminal for us which was waiting as we disembarked. We arrived early morning so our room wasn’t ready but reception stored our luggage so we could explore the city.We booked a river view room which was generously upgraded to a suite( thank you ) we looked out at the church Christopher Columbus was married just beautiful .We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant prepared from local ingredients it was excellent as was the service .At dinner we explained we were leaving early the following day just as breakfast service was to begin. It was then suggested we order our hot choice the night before and it would be waiting for us as the restaurant opened. It’s so nice when people put themselves out for you.The staff at this hotel obviously enjoy their job and will do whatever they can to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The only negative was the fact we only booked a one night stay !We will certainly be back absolutely loved our stay .If you choose to visit I’m sure you won’t be disappointed .

Excellent boutique hotel
Probably one of the best boutique hotels in Lisbon. Small charming property in Alfama district, quiet area, walking distance to major sites, and surrounded by small cafes, bars, restaurants and a lovely neighbourhood.
The hotel has cozy rooms, very comfortable beds, a nice bar and good restaurant. Bathrooms are also a highlight, spacious and with nice amenities.
Breakfast is tasty and with several options to choose from.
Staff is attentive and professional. Indeed, a perfect place for a short or even long stay in the city. Very recommendable for solo travelers, couples or groups of friends.

Perfect stay
We stayed just for one night in this beautiful property for our weeding anniversary . I really wanted to stay here as they have received so many awards and recognition. My wife and I stayed for just one night but absolutely loved our stay. From the moment you arrive to the moment you sadly leave the all staff is friendly and accommodating. We loved our room and the bathroom amenities (wonderful Portuguese brand). The room was very spacious and pretty and full of lovely details. We also loved the breakfast with its amazing pancakes and hot chocolate! We look forward to have a new excuse to stay in this charming property.

Fabulous End of Stay in Portugal
This Boutique Hotel provided us fabulous service from check in to check out. The best experience in accommodations thru a 14 day tour N to S. Not to mention the owner taking time to mingle with his guests. Wonderful sitting area with snacks and drinks. Parking available if you have a car-breakfast excellent, comfy bed-and extremely clean room and turn down service with plenty of towels. This hotel has paid attention to detail! Book it-don’t hesitate.

This hotel is so inviting and is renovated to perfection while beautifully decorated. We had a suite w/luxury bath. We requested a room w/cool wall paper (we saw on line) if possible and they delivered. Concierge was remarkable (esp Beatrice) who arranged cabs, restaurants and a some outing ideas. She even helped us re-shape the rest of our Portugese journey, finding a great hotel in the Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela. It was such a fantastic 48 hours we decided to return to Alfama for one more night. Cute n cozy restaurant/bar/cafe w/great staff, food and a mean martini.Thank you!

We happened upon Audrey's (the hotel's restaurant) randomly and by chance had a wonderful conversation with Manuel while dining. He's an incredibly interesting individual and a great conversationalist. He (and our lunch) indirectly convinced us we had to stay at Santiago for our short return trip to Lisbon. From check-in to check-out the service was fantastic. The space and room were lovely and more importantly, still adjusting to the time difference, the bed was very comfortable! The location is really great. The Hotel is on a very quiet street in Alfama but the #28 trolley is 1/2 a block away and will sweep you into the center of city quickly. Of course, staying in the heart of the amazing Alfama neighborhood has its own charm. Stop your search....stay here. You won't be disappointed.

This is a lovely little hotel located perfectly within the oldest and IMO most charming part of Lisbon, within walking distance of all major sites. The rooms are beautiful, well-appointed, and exceptionally roomy for a city-center property. Every square inch of the rooms and common areas are immaculately clean. The restaurant serves a delicious breakfast - the pancakes are a standout! Stop by Manny’s bar after a day of sightseeing and have Bruno fix you up a delicious craft cocktail. Highly recommend it, and will definitely stay again!

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The staff is extremely friendly and smiling, the rooms have a splendid view, the design of the rooms is in a welcoming and vintage style, but also modern. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant is the best in Lisbon! The entire location is clean and complies with all safety precautions. The hotel is located in the historic center, very close to all sights. Thanks! I can't wait to go back!

Amazing Hotel!!! Must stay. The service is phenomenal and the people who work there are so helpful and nice. The restaurant at the hotel is remarkable. The food is just perfection. Our room's bathroom was very big and clean and the room was also spacious for a city hotel. They had lots of tasty delicious treats prepared for us, and the room service was swift and able to work with customized orders. There also is an outdoor terrace with a couch and table to enjoy the spectacular view of the city. If you ask the reception to recommend anywhere to eat or visit at the city they give great recommendations. Overall this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

Stayed here for our last two nights in Lisbon. It is in a beautiful location right across from an incredible lookout point and easy access to the Chiado area where there are great shops and restaurants. We booked the basic room, but were upgraded to a better room upon check in because they had extra availability. The staff was very attentive and assisted us with booking our pre-flight COVID tests and taxi to the airport, and they provided a great dinner recommendation for our last night. The amenities were lovely- water and espresso on the room, comfy robes, free drink passes for the bar, and a small outdoor terrace. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
