Lisbon São Bento was a nice clean and comfortable place to lay my head. If you need some tranquility and peace of mind during your stay, this is the place. Rooms have nice views. Close to just about anything, walking distance to popular sites like the Santa Just Life (elevator for the city views) restaurants, and public transportation of your choice whether it be the subway, tram, uber, or bus. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lisbon. Loved it!

I stayed here over the summer and I can’t get over how excellent the staff was! So helpful and so knowledgeable of everything in the city. I appreciate that the stay both spoke English and were very patient when I wanted to practice my Portuguese. 5 star service all the way!

We were very satisfied with the hotel. I will start with the best, and go to the lowest.
Staff 5/5
We stayed there for 7 nights althogether, so we saw a lot of staff members. And absolutely all of them are super friendly, polite, at your service all the time. From the cleaning ladies, ladies working at the breakfast room, to receptionist, all of them deserve praises. But we have to mention a receptionist called Susana. One very warm, friendly and open person. She helped us with every possible request that we had. Gave us advices and explanation, booked up us taxies and transportation, and she was always smiling. One night we've asked her to book us a Fado dinner and she called more then 10 places trying to book us a table. Everything was full because of the St. Valentine's Day, but she really tried hard to get us a seat.
Location 5/5
Very convenient. There's a subway station 3 minutes away, from there you can get where ever you want quickly, including the airport. If you don't want to use the public transportation, you can get to the city center by foot in less than 20 minutes. The neighborhood is nice and safe, there are two convenient shops within 5 minutes from the hotel, so it's fair to say that the hotel has an excellent location.
Breakfast 4/5
Breakfast is quite good, but the only reason why we're giving a 4 instead of 5 is the fact that was completely the same for all 7 days that we've stayed there. Also, we would appreciate some fresh vegetables. They had plenty of fruits, but no vegetables at all.
Room 4/5
Room is spacious enough, fairly new, with all necessary equipment. The only minus is the fact that there's only a glass wall from the bathroom, so there's almost no privacy. Very positive thing is that you have a coffee making machine in the room, and the cleaning ladies are bringing new capsules daily, so you can star the day with the coffee in your room.. The cleaning was exceptional, new towels every day, etc...
All in all, we would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Lisbon on a budget.
Cudos to Susana and the rest of the team!

Very nice place, clean and relatively close (walking distance) to city centre or 3min away from hotel, can use the metre Station 'Rato' to get there much quicker.
Also friendly staff members.
Had breakfast (buffet style) included which was nice but would have liked a bigger variety and possibly have authentic Portuguese breakfast item.
