Great Location
Intercontinental hotels are always fairly opulent in fixtures and fittings, and this was no exception. Everyone was very helpful and our room was great. Plenty of space, large bathroom etc. It's location is very good, literally next door to St Michael's Monastery (wonderful view at night especially ).
We had splendid martinis in the rooftop bar, but decided not to eat there. Instead we had a great meal, at a very reasonable price, at the ground floor restaurant. Very good service with a very knowledgeable waitress.
So ... why only 4 stars? Firstly, we thought that 39 euros per person for breakfast was extortionate for breakfast, so we went elsewhere for very little. But ,more importantly, on each of the 2 days we stayed there our keypads did not work. It is somewhat excessive to have to go to reception THREE times each day to have them reset. That is unacceptable and was a downside for an otherwise great stay.
