Good value for Kiev, but take account of the locationI stayed here for five nights during a recent visit to Kiev, and was pretty happy with the City Holiday Resort.
The positives outweighed the negatives. I'll discuss each in turn.
The hotel is located well away from the centre, next to the ring road. However, at time of writing, an Uber ride to the city centre should cost you less than UAH200. So factor in that, to your plans, as it really isn't a lot.
The staff were all professional, and good English is spoken by the front desk staff, who were very helpful throughout my stay.
The rooms and communal areas were all very clean, and rooms are large, with modern bathrooms. The bed was also very comfortable, and the park view rooms were very quiet, with no noise disturbance.
Breakfast was nice, but didn't vary much during my stay.
The nearest metro line was about 1.5 miles away from the hotel, again, an Uber taxi to this cost about UAH80, so it generally made sense to take a taxi to the city centre. The time taken for this obviously depends on the traffic, but perhaps 30 minutes was an average.
The spa facilities were excellent, and seemed to be mainly used by Ukrainian guests.

Decent hotel but away from the city centreThe check-in was fast. The problems is that practically no one spoke English in the front desk. Once checked in, we found the rooms quite spacious, comfortable and the sleep quality was good. The breakfast was very disappointing for vegetarians. Again, communication was difficult so we could not explain what we wanted. Overall, a quiet hotel closer to the airport rather than to the city centre and all the attractions. In fact, it takes ages to go to the Downtown area because of the distance and the bad traffic.

Nice Hotel but Unprofessional !!We stayed 5 nights at the hotel and we spent NYE there. From the time we arrived we could understand how unprofessional they are. We booked a table for NYE but they told us that no reservations in our names and the restaurant manager was trying to convince us not to join the party!! They don’t give receipts! Only receipt we got for the room charge, all the extras including NYE Party were without receipts. At the checkout they brought the menu of cocktails to the reception to tell them what we ordered at the pool because we mentioned it; we had to pay after they said we won’t!! (They didn’t know about these 2 cocktails)
The nice thing about the hotel were the swimming pools (although it was a bit cold) & saunas.

Great property.The hotel is great. The pluses are the facilities. The restaurant is great , and priced fairly. The staff was nice. Rooms were very nice. The minuses are the property is a little outside of the city, the wifi is very lacking. the only place in Kiev i seem to have trouble. The final item was when my friends that live in Kiev came to visit me- the front desk wanted to charge me more. I do not know what that is about, but they are spending money and spreading the word about the hotel. It would be easily a five star choice with some simple fixes and training. Hope to be back,

Great!Great Hotel with the reasonable prices
I stayed there for 2 nights in a business trip but hope to come back again.
It’s a new comfortable hotel with cozy rooms, beautiful territory and nice Spa. The room was big, the bed comfortable, nice park view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was amazing, breakfast fresh and tasty.
Visited Spa only once but enjoyed it. Big swimming pool, 3 saunas, salted room but no Jacuzzi there. Hope to try massage next time.

DissapointingWe visited the hotel in November, spending 1 night there. The experience was a very mixed one and probably less than fully satisfying. The highlights were breakfast and the size of the room. The lowlights were the service and facilities....on that particular day there was no option for a massage at the Spa, the indoor pool was too cold for a swim and the saunas were all off when we visited the pool/spa area. In defense of the hotel, it was extremely quiet during our visit with very few guests. But still, its our experience that counts. As to the service we had a bizarre room service moment when cash was demanded because our order was above an arbitrary level...despite that we specifically asked that all extras be charged to the room and that any necessary holding funds be blocked in advance. Overall it was OK, not the worst I have experienced, not by a long shot, but unfortunately no better than average.

Good not greatTo be clear, this facility is perhaps a low four star hotel. Some parts are very good, some elements are fair.
The location is not ideal if you are looking to be in the heart of Kiev. However, the security gate at the hotel leaves a positive impression of safety.
The two biggest positives of the hotel are the food and the cleanliness. We tried a variety of dishes and found the food reasonably priced and delicious! Also, everything from the rooms to the open areas were clean. These two items are significant when you travel frequently.
The rooms were rather bland without enough light. Nothing bad, just nothing great.
The two biggest negatives of the hotel were the meeting space areas and the fitness center. The meeting space areas are in the basement with little "wow" factor. There is no updated technological equipment in the rooms, etc. The fitness center was also in the basement -- very small and not very exciting.
The spa and pool facilities are very good. This is the third best dimension to the hotel. Therefore, for families, the rooms are large (and clean), the food is delicious, and the pool very nice.
The reception staff and cleaning staff were very good. The other staff barely seemed to smile.
To make some comparisons in the Kiev area, this facility is not nearly as nice as a Kiev 5 star hotel such as the Hilton or Intercontinental. On the other hand, it is slightly better (because of the food) than the 4 star Ramada Encore.

Best Hotel in KiewIt's only perfect. The food, the service and the rooms only amazing. The rooms are really clean and all rooms are new. I was there for only one night but i would go again. I'm sure, i'm going to go in the same hotel next time.

Останавливался тут с девушкой!(Романтический уикенд)Понравилось обсолютно все.
Начиная от самого номера и заканчивая спа зоной.
На стойке регистрации отчетливо видно профессионализм персонала! Помощь во всех вопросах была гарантированой, что и подтверждает уровень 5*
Кухня была великолепной, так же как и обслуживание в ресторане
(Попросил сделать бронь и оформить романтик. Ужин, все сделали на высшем уровне), за что отдельная благодарность персоналу ресторана!))
Цены достаточно приемлемые, для такого уровня блюд и обслуживания.
В отеле много иностранцев и отчетливо видно профессионализм уровня иностранных языков у
Персонала!
Вообщем, море позитива и положительных эмоций!
Будем рекомендовать своим друзьям и близким!

Отмечали с парнем день рождения, при повторном посещении , предложили комплимент - бокал шампанского и/или тарелка с фруктами, очень приятно!В ресторане очень вкусно готовят, в выходные работает круглосуточно для гостей, безупречные салаты, все свежее, красивая подача, огромный выбор авторских коктейлей.
В СПА несмотря на активную посещаемость , в парных чисто, видно как заботлив персонал, занимающийся уборкой зоны спа! Всегда уберут, протрут от воды пол! Особенно выражаем благодарность работнику Надежде, которая всегда рядом, и полотенце сухое заботливо подаст, и ребёнка плачущего развеселит чтобы всем хорошо отдыхалось!
Нам понравилось абсолютно всё, даже осенью здесь очень уютно. City Holiday окутывает своей магией, аромат сосновых деревьев, которые посажены у отеля, доносится прямо на террасу номера, делая утро с кружечкой кофе просто незабываемым!
Несмотря на то, что это совсем не туристический район - этот отель создан для отдыха от шумной суеты большого города. Вид из номера есть на город (не очень то и шумно от дороги, как думали, летом останавливались в категории эконом), и на парковую зону ( номера категории комфорт и выше).
Наш любимый номер с самым красивым видом на парк и бассейн, студио делюкс #413!

Var i Kiev i september 2018 o bodde här i 5 dagar . Enda nackdelen är att det är ca 1 mil ifrån kievcenter men det visste jag när jag bokade o taxi är bara ca 70-80 svenska kronorHotellet var mycket bra med trevliga rymliga rum med minibar . Personalen pratade bra engelska o var väldigt hjälpsam . Blev magsjuk en dag då sprang en i receptionen på apoteket o köpte medicin åt mig !! En guldstjärna för det. Frukosten var ok samma varje dag . Men restaurangen på kvällen va bra mat. Utnyttjade spaavdelningen varje kväll o den va supernice. Ett plus att man kunde ringa o beställa ner mat o dryck till spaavdelningen. Mycket nöjd med min vistelse o kan rekommendera hotellet Source: tripadvisor
