Hotel Imperial, Karlovy Vary

Nice hotel with history. Restaurant more Mensa style but food is good and presented in buffet style. Only downfall is the spa which is more a sanatorium than a real spa. Time is limited when you can use the facilities for each guest. A bit strange.

Great hotel truly lives upto its name and elegance. The whole surrounding is maintained beautifully and snow just added to it.  Great service and restaurants are great too. We had a buffet lunch there with great Czech variety of food. I only wish we have more English speaking staff  to be able to interact with tourist.

Great location for a panaromic&unique view of the spa town. Nice breakfast options and amazing serving location (this meal is mandatory when booking a room) - buffet style. Tourist/city taxes&charges + extra parking costs are calculated per night (1 room 2 nights 2 people 1 car => around 39eur paid at check-out). Appreciated&thankfull for the complimentary water bottles, coffee machine with pods included, wellness&fitness access included in the booking, free rides with the imperial cable car based on the room key. Cable car's timetable not available inside the hotel (but good that it operates workdays, weekends, holidays). Gym is situated outside the hotel, in a separate building, near the parking lot (personally not ideal). There were evening musical events, but not promoted (no info provided at check-in nor during the stay). The interaction with the reception staff and other hotel personnel  was mainly done in german language. In the lobby area , there is a touristy pamphlet/broschure section , a printer and an ATM available.

Stayed here for a business trip and everything was great, but mostly I wanted to leave 5 stars for the helpfulness of the staff - I left behind a small bag upon checking out - within a week they had the bag posted to my home address. I really appreciated this attention to customer service, thank you guys!
