The Folks Hotel Konepaja

spent 5 days in the hotel.
even though i was missing some scrambles eggs for breakfast, every thing else was nothing but perfect!
the hotel is nicely designed, the rooms were wide and cleaned every day
the soaps in the showers were super nice!
the sauna is amazing, clean, cozy, and highly available.
and above all, the staff.
i travel frequently, 3 times a month the least.
the level of devotion the staff at the Folks Hotel have for making sure the guests are happy is out of the ordinary in a beautiful manner.

would definitely go back there again if im in Finland!

Location : Placed in Kallio, which is one of the most vibrant part of the city, this hotel is a real pearl. The only thing you could argue is that it is far from the city center, but you Pasila train station (which connects you to Helsinki Central and the airport, and you also have tram line n°9, which goes close to city center).
Staff : Very helpful, friendly and efficient.
Rooms : As I was travelling alone, I booked a single standard room. It was very nice compared to what you can experience in some other places. Decorated as a mix of Scandinavian interior design and "new wave industrial". Bed was nice, although there is a huge pillow that almost take as much space as you in the bed, so you should get rid of that.
Amenities : top notch hair drier, nice body care products (everything is from Rituals, and you get body wash, shampoo, conditionner, handwash and body&hand lotion, which is a lot for a regular hotel).
+1 for the little pack composed of some pads for makeup removal, ear buds and some other stuff.
Breakfast : served in Albina Ravintola restaurant. Not a huge buffet, but the food is nice quality + the staff from the restaurant does the service, so it's quite good.
Extras : there is a gym and a sauna (male, female and mixed). These are free for hotel guests, and they are good quality. So that is another extra point to them.
You can also book massages in advance.

Nice hotel all things considered. Clean and fresh looking rooms. Comfy bed, pillows large but a bit unsupportive yet stiff feeling. The bathroom was lacking general storage space around the sink but otherwise good. The breakfast was really nice and in the evening the space is a restaurant/bar. If you have business in the area it’s a good place to stay. Friendly staff.

Even though its not pure center Helsinki, i cannot only but recommend the amazing rooms, area and service. Would definitely stay again. The rooms, so comfy, the breakfast, amazing.... but the best part was the service. In our case, Elisa was beyond gentle, welcoming and nice to us. She made our stay so much better. Thank you for everything! We loved Helsinki!
