Amazing hotel for this value of money and as star range. Felt risky and scared after reading the feedback here that it’s dirty and there are issues with entering the hotel and the codes… I had some issues with payment through booking and my bank then sent me a detailed response that the Omena Hotels had issues with accepting Visa card payments at that time - felt a bit upset, but used another type of card. Hope they’ve fixed it already.
Once I’ve paid, I received a message with the code for entry.
The negative thing is that the check in is at 16:00 and if you wanna earlier, you need to pay extra money (I haven’t only as a principle as two extra hours don’t worth it and believe it’s not nice towards guests). I was able to move in at 16:00
The hotel is located in a good place in central area, the entrance has a disabled lift and other facilities to access the building if you have a wheelchair or a heavy suitcase. It was good and quick, code worked from the first attempt and I didn’t have to communicate with anyone in the pandemic.
The hotel itself and the room were recently refurbished, very clean with a small kitchenette, a fridge, microwave and even a tv. Very clean!!! Toilet had a soap, towels and a sensor light.
I had to stay there less than 24hours and find this hotel very good option for a short stay. As I believe very affordable price for Helsinki.

The rooms are decently equipped for a regular hotel user. Private bathrooms, towels, hair dryer and all. The only thing that wasn't as described was the tea and coffee facilities. I assumed there would be tea and coffe, but no, it's just the facilities, meaning: disposable cups sugar and creamer. Some cutlery also would have been useful, since the rooms have a fridge and a microwave, but no plates or utensils? Overall it was nice, but you don't want to quarantine here because you'll be missing some stuff.

Liked - The room was simple and I liked everything about it. The beds have cubby holes for books and luggage, the TV was wall-mounted and can be moved toward the pillows if you want to watch TV lying down, or it can be moved toward the table to watch while you eat. The security of the entrances is great with a pin at every door, and the rooms are pretty substantial for noise reduction. The bathrooms are simple, I like the rainfall shower and the automatic light that comes on as you approach. I also like that this location is over two restaurants, a burger place and pizzeria, and there's a vending machine on the premises.
Disliked · The wifi needs better signal. Some guests think maintenance and cleaning needs to be improved, but I saw cleaning crews all the time. I don't need to have my room cleaned everyday, or for the duration of my visit, unless something needs to be tended to.
I will stay at, and recommend, Omena Hotels.

Overall cool, all automated with no interaction with staff. But that's also tricky once your door is automatically blocked at 12 am, check out time - and you suddenly realized you forgot some of your belongings inside. Quite common, isn't it? Or you went out to get some - hit-the-road grocery stuff and arrived at 12:03 to collect your luggage. Either way your door is blocked and you have to call a number. Which is not displayed at the entrance door. Which is also not a free hotline. So you pay additional money and nerve cells simply because there is no button to call the housekeeping and solve the matter in a second. Room to improve, definitely!
