Holiday Inn Hamburg, an IHG Hotel

Hotel is ok but has not really been updated in >20 years and looks old fashioned in places. Restaurant menu limited. Parking readily available but small spaces. Limited TV in English. Convenient location for driving but nothing in area outside hotel.

I like to divide my food for either healthy or tasty, the food at Holiday Inn is neither. Breakfast were ok, but that's it. WiFi speed is nothing special even though thw hotel is empty due to COVID-19. On the upside the room was very clean, there's a lot of space and there is even quite nice desk. Bathroom is also big and spaceous.

We got here after 8 hours of driving at 1:40 am and the hotel staff proceeded to make us get another room. We booked on the site with the filter of 3 adults one room because it showed two twin beds but then were refused to be allowed into the booking because we needed another room. We were checking out at 9am and just needed to crash yet they conned us into another room because who is going to switch hotels at this time?

Room is old and in low quality, wardrobe without a door, sink has some cracks, curtains has holes which allows sun rays! Reception were always friendly but the stay overall doesn’t worth the money.
