Andante Hotel Scheveningen / Den Haag

As three star hotel it gets three stars only. Maybe too much, but let's give hope. Worst what I have ever seen after tens of hotels during the year and hundreds over years was deposit. First time someone asks 100 euros of deposit while they even dont have place where to park or breakfast was continental only. Room was still smelly like sitting next to homeless person and my belongings and me smelled during my drive back home through other hotels where nobody asked deposit. And worst to that was that I even dont smoke and Im decorator as trade. Kinda insulting.

Don't expect to much. It's a nice location but the rooms are noisy and outdated. The brackfas is oke. The staff is the best part of the hotel. They are helpful and nice. An the worst thing is the parking is not free.

Hotel has a perfect location as it is close to the beach and boulevard. Staff is very friendly and service oriented. Price of the hotel is, for Scheveningen standards, in the lower price range however still quite expensive for wat you get. There is very limited parking and parking is overpriced. The rooms aren't very good sound isolated and the floors are wooden so you'll hear everyone and everything around your room. The bathroom, in our room, was quite small but it did the trick. Everything was nice and clean. Beds were on the soft side but that's a personal preference i guess. The biggest downside for us was that they advertised with the fact they had an elevator. However we were put in the adjoining structure that had no elevator but steep and narrow stairs with bad handrails instead. As we had a room on the second floor  and we needed to haul quite some stuff up the stairs we had to make several trips up and down the steep stairs. Overall the hotel was a pleasant place to stay and the breakfast buffet w  s quite nice.

The nights here are very noisy no one has any concern for other residents trying to sleep and I cannot write here what I was subjected to hearing on one particular night, and also we paid for breakfast on one morning and would never do that again as the scrambled egg tasted rubbery and like it was yesterday's and water for tea was luke warm but everything g else was OK.
