The Ambassador Geneva

The service is friendly, quiet, and unobtrusive, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the windows are soundproofed.  Central air conditioning is welcome during the summer months. The location is the best on the Geneva waterfront, and a brief stroll along the Pont de la Machine will have you across the river in the Old Town within five minutes. Riverfront rooms offer a stunning panorama across the sparkling blue Rhone River. Many excellent restaurants are in the vicinity, and a Starbucks is directly across Place Chevelu just outside.  Currently,  the hotel's restaurant seems to be only open for breakfast. Highly recommended.

I had a good room overlooking the river so it had nice views. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was big and well equipped. I liked the blinds which kept the sunlight out in the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful -for example they leant me an adapter. Also helpful that the hotel supplies a free travel card. I would say that that breakfast was not good value however -expensive and unexceptional.

Hotel is nice, rooms have enough space and it seems price wise is good based on other similar options but not sure about this.  One thing I did not like was that there was no option for late check out.  Another thing that I did not like were the lights in the bathroom because these were on they make a noise that is annoying, you know is like those little noises that at the beginning doesn't bother but as time passes you start to noticing them more.  Also I was not sure how the shower door works.

Very short but lovely stay à week before Christmas. The location is unbeatable with beautiful views over the Rhine and the Lac de Genève. The staff was very welcoming. The room, especially the bathroom in impeccable condition. Very traditional hotel with all the good things that this kind of hospitality tradition entails.
