A gastronomic weekend in Copenhagen
From the moment we started planning our weekend at the hotel we were met with nothing but helpful professional and friendly service. We booked our room over the telephone and enquired about restaurant reservations further down the line. The concierge staff were extremely helpful and friendly and booked us a table at Noma for lunch at very short notice. Lunch at Noma in itself was an incredible experience and we are very grateful to Kevin at concierge for pulling this off.
The hotel organised car service from the airport and on arrival at the hotel it was lovely to see the beautiful plant and flower arrangements outside the steps of the lobby. The floral arrangements inside the lobby were equally gorgeous and the atmosphere was cosy yet elegant. We were checked in and shown to our room swiftly.
Although we did not use the spa, I did have a look at it and it was really stunning. The hotel is in a great position for walking, shopping and sightseeing. We highly recommend the city tour by boat around the port and canals. Copenhagen was as lovely as we imagined it would be and we were amused to see so many bicycles, and the fact that hardly anyone wore helmets or protection of any kind for their heads! It was also charming to see whole families and pets riding in the trailers and front car attachments to the bycycles. We soon learned to watch out for all the bicycle lanes as at first it wasn’t obvious to us when we were walking in one. We were blessed with incredibly beautiful weather but I feel even without that we would’ve enjoyed the weekend as much as we did as the city is clean, friendly and architecturly beautiful.

Excellent, Caring Staff
While traveling in Copenhagen I had a fantastic, non-guest experience with the staff at
Hotel d'Angleterre (Specifically Salvatore: Doorman; Jesper: Reception; and Anders: Concierge). I was exploring the city at night, I highly recommend, and stopped into the hotel bar for a drink (and to check email). Each was gracious with their assistance and information.
Salvatore, in his top hat and tails, answered our questions and suggested the bar for a libation and Wifi.
Jesper, not only shared his ideas for day time sight exploration (including resident tips) but was also a great conversationalist. Truly enjoyed talking about everything from NFL, to cyclocross. to the differences between travel in Europe vs the United States.
Anders, even though we were not hotel guests, was a wealth of information about where, what, how and when around Copenhagen.
If your every in Copenhagen I highly recommend spending a little time at Hotel d'Angleterre....even if you're not an overnight guest!!!!

Wonderful birthday stay!
My husband and I spent 3 nights here Feb 14-17. The location of the hotel is wonderful and you can walk to most attractions. The staff at the hotel goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests and made us feel most welcome. The hotel restaurant Marchal is a must if you love rich, decadent food. We had a wonderful meal there.

My only minor complaint is the breakfast spread- it is the same every day with not a great variety.

We are hoping to return shortly!

Best Hotel in Copenhagen with excellent Service and outstanding Restaurant!
We spend two days in the d'Angleterre. When we arrived very early at 8 o'clock in the morning the two Ladies at the Front-Desk, Sania and Rosa, welcomed us in such a lovely warm way that we already felt the perfect professionalism of this hotel and therefore we really looked forward to our stay. Sania and Rosa made us feel like coming home and did everything to lighten up our trip to Copenhagen. What an amazing service these two Ladies were offering, thank you so much!! They are now locked into our hearts! The Suite was just gorgeous overlooking the city, the decoration beautiful and extremely tasteful. We ate in the evening in the Restaurant Marchal and it was the best turbot we ever had! Breakfast is also very good and offers everything needed. The Spa-Area is gorgeous too, the only thing which could be improved: there are only two lounge chairs. I had to sit on a bench after the Sauna as the two chairs were occupied by children. It would be nice to get some more in order to relax after the Sauna or after swimming. Apart from that everything was just fine.Apart from that it was just an amazing short break even though it was a business trip.

The best hotel in Copenhagen
D’Angleterre is without a doubt the best hotel in Copenhagen. The location right on the most prestigious scare in the centre of the city makes it the perfect place whether you are in Copenhagen for business or pleasure. The hotels facilities are right at the top of what is offered in Copenhagen and all the rooms are luxurious and extremely well equipped. The staff is however what at the end of the day makes the difference on this kind of hotel and it just keeps getting better and better and more and more professional but also more and more personal and adapt.

Perfection all through!
From the beginning upon arrival, one is greeted and so well taken care of! We got upgraded, free of charge to superior room, and shown up to the room, by one of the front desk attendants. They make you feel special, and are all so gracious. Excellent and relaxing spa! Top class breakfast buffet, with at the table service. They go the extra mile, to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you want the best there is, this is the place to stay, when visiting Copenhagen.

This is REAL hospitality
Amazing stay for my husband and I while celebrating his birthday ????. We stayed in the junior suite with an amazing view of Kongens Nytorv, Nyavn and CPH skyline. It is extremely rare to have hotels having bell staff at your disposal. That is extremely costly in Scandinavia (that among other features at the hotel justifies its price). The rooms are very comfortable and well decorated with calming and elegant colors.

We enjoyed a pre dinner drinks ???? at Baltazar Champagne Bar and went out for dinner following some of the recommendations from the concierge. During the last day of our visit, we spoiled ourselves with some time at the spa.

Everywhere we went we were met by happy and friendly staff. Batteries are now charged after this amazing stay.

A comfortable and friendly Grand Dame
This Grand Dame is a very relaxing place when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of down town Copenhagen. The bell boys are courteous and the friendly reception staff professional. They work to facilitate the check-in to go as fast and smooth as possible.
Our room, a junior suite, was nicely decorated, clean and in very good condition. However, the bathroom was a bit small. The beds are firm but comfortable.
Breakfast is tasty quite sufficient, it’s not a huge buffet. Just as in many nice hotels the junior and least experienced staff are serving breakfast (it’s pity because the breakfast is one of the last impressions a guest gets before checking out). The spa area follow suite, nice, luxurious, and clean, with a pool in which you actually can do some proper swimming.
To conclude: The D’Angleterre is a very nice hotel, your stay will be comfortable, the service provided from the staff is prompt and friendly but not world class.

classic hotel experience
Collected at the airport in a very swish Merc and whisked to the hotel in less than 30 minutes- good way to start the day. Warm greetings from all the staff. Beautiful room and an upgrade. Loved the central location - everything within walking distance. Excellent concierge provides maps and personal tips for where to go/what to see. Superb restaurant Marchal in hotel for "push the boat out" dinner. Lovely whole turbot steamed to perfection. Great wine list. Very good service throughout.
Good buffet for breakfast . On check out we were given some extra hours on the room without fuss and- as there was a half marathon in town disrupting the traffic- we were advised to take the metro back to the airport. Very helpful porter carried our bags to the metro station, showed us how to get the tickets, took us to the platform- truly exceptional personal service. Worthy of 6 stars. Thanks to the whole team, we loved our first trip to Copenhagen and will sing the praises of l'Angleterre.

This iconic hotel is amazing and staff outstanding and will go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. The service provided here is so exceptionally unique and I'd like to think that "best in class" was invented right here.
No words are enough to describe just how wonderful the staff is and how very welcome and appreciated they make you feel from the very moment you enter the hotel.
Apart from the best location in town, the rooms are beautifully decorated, bathrooms are stunning, beds comfy and you sleep like a queen.
The breakfast is heavenly, I love that it's a'la carte and not a buffet - even though it kind of is as you get your own small buffet on the table :) Great variety and you can taste that only top quality raws have been chosen. The egg Florentine and the poached eggs with truffle and mushrooms are to die for!
Room service is great with a good variety, all at very reasonable prices.
I live 2 km from the hotel and I'd never choose another hotel in town for a staycation.
Can't wait to visit again!
