This is a wonderful hotel in a restored 19th century building that was originally the Austrian consulate. The staff are amazing! We went to dinner and came back to a second set of fresh towels, empty waste baskets, and turned down beds. The included breakfast buffet is beyond description and the coffee was superb. While there is no hotel parking we had no trouble finding public street parking.

One of lovliest hotels we have ever stayed in. The service was impeccable. The front desk staff was helpful, kind and patient. Our room was clean and the view of the sea only added to our enjoyment. The sisters who run the hotel were just lovely. I wish I knew Greek! We purchased their homemade jam too. We will be back!

The DOMA hotel in Chania, Crete is a landmark. And, a bit of a secret hideaway. It is just off the central paths of Old Town Chania,  adding to its elegant charm. The Doma Hotel is a beautiful 5 story neoclassical mansion, which used to be a former consulate. This adds to the delicate touches of history @the common areas of the hotel. The hotel is situated like a jewel right on the waterfront, it’s a short walk to some of the best restaurants in Chania. This location makes it easier to access by car (and park nearby). But, that's besides the point. Most of us go to Crete for a relaxing vacation by the shore, and this hotel is located right across a beautful private beach. The breakfast room is perhaps one of the most memorable parts of staying at this property. See the photos attached of the view -  there is always fresh coffee and tea ready when you arrive at your table, which is always fresh white linen table clothed. The amazing jams are homemade - using locally sourced organic fruits. And, most of the offerings are Cretan specialities. Often guests linger here, longer than any other breakfast nook, just because the energy is so vibrant. I can't begin or end to describe the Doma, except to say,  try to get there,  it will be one of your most memorable trips and stays. Say Hello to the Doma family from me too.
