Very good value for money although not in the special 5-star/luxury category
I used to frequently stay at this hotel when it was known as the Conrad hotel. It was fully renovated a few years ago and is now a much nicer place to stay. All rooms are very spacious. Even the superior rooms have a bath tub and a separate rain shower. Some rooms have interconnecting doors hence are perfect for families with children. Despite the busy location (on Avenue Louise), the rooms are quiet at night. The service is very professional and the breakfast buffet is excellent. Prices are very reasonable for the size of the rooms and the quality of services. Still, it misses what would make it extra special and fit the category of hotels where you would want to go and stay with your spouse for a couple of nights. So overall, probably the best hotel in Brussels for a short stay on business but not for the ultimate luxury experience.

Excellence!
This was my second stay at the Steigenberger. My first stay was excellent and somehow they exceeded my expectations for this stay. Front desk staff are wonderful, professional, helpful and friendly. Housekeeping was impeccable. My room was comfortable and quiet (I appreciate the location they put me in, as I was staying a full week and quiet was important.) We had an impromptu group gathering one evening and the bar staff was able to quickly accommodate us and provided excellent service.

I want to give special kudos to Oana who supported my group during a week-long business training program. As a corporate trainer, I work with many hotel meeting coordinators across the globe. Oana was...by far...the best I've encountered. She was proactive, always available, extremely responsive, professional while being warm and friendly. She helped us deliver a seamless and outstanding program to a very high-profile client. We received numerous comments that this was the best leadership training program our participants have ever attended, and Oana was a key member of our team to make that happen.

I look forward to my next visit to Steigenberger Wiltcher's.

Excellen ce in Brussels
This hotel is located in the expensive shopping area of Brussels. Although not really in the touristic area, it is within a 15 to 20 minutes walk from the grand place.
The hotel shows the grandeur of the old days without being old fashioned.
Rooms are spacious and have all comfort you'd expect from this kind of hotel.
Breakfast has more than the average choice in the better hotels as well. The bathroom - at least in my room - had a tub and a separate shower.
There is a public underground parking space that gives direct access to the hotel's lobby.
This hotel should definitely be on your short list when visiting Brussels.

Wonderful hotel with great service
As a regular visitor of Brussels, I usually stayed at the Hotel as it is closed to our office. However, my experience at the Hotel have not been very positive lately. Many of my collegues made the switch to the Wiltcher's, so I gave the hotel a try as well and I was not disappointed.

Parking was very convenient in a parking right under the hotel. Check in was fast and friendly. They even gave a card of the account manager for our company to contact if we needed anything. The lobby is a bit old fashioned.

The room was large, clean and recently refurhished. Although it is a classical style, it felt very new and up to date.

The breakfast buffet was good with a lot of variety.

I was happy with the switch to this hotel and will visit them in the future again!

An extraordinary experience. We’ve stayed at the hotel many times. This time was probably one of the best. Everyone wen!
The rooms are beautiful. And ther such a quite, relaxing atmosphere I also enjoyed the restaurant Louie. The food was so good! I invited friends to stop by. They loved their dishes. The menu has such a variety! Last but not least, the door men are absolutely adorable. William will give you the best advice on where to shop, how to cope with the weather. His knowledge is amazing. But you should know that William, like many others staff people, has been working at the hotel for over 30 years! I truly admire that longevity. And he has all the experience of the world! I’m mostly impressed by these amazing people, who are giving their life to their work. And it says something about the quality of this hotel, no?

4 star hotel
Stayed from the 28th December 2018 until January 3rd 2019.
The location of the hotel is very nice. When you go inside the decoration is a little bit old. The staff isn’t very friendly and the reception staff are very young, you feel that they lack experience when dealing with some issues. The room is very big and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The floor in the bathroom is heated which is also a plus. The carpet in the room had some stains and you could feel the dust in the air. Not good for my and my husband that have allergies. In one corner of the room there were spiderwebs, they stayed there for the entire time!not enough light in the room after dark as well. They kept forgetting to leave the complementary water bottles in our room.
The price is too high for the hotel, and in my opinion it’s more a 4 star hotel, not a 5 star hotel.

Disappointing in many, many ways!
his was a very disappointing experience from some very specific horrible things to some general things. Along with that some nice encounters (the Concierges). The really, really bad: We were booked from December 24-January 1. The Hotel apparently has a raging, all night New Years Eve party that causes the hotel to vibrate, the music travels, and the inebriated guests are allowed out side in the courtyard (so if you have a courtyard room, you have no protection. We were not told, informed, or even given courtesy letters in our rooms (we would have checked out and stayed elsewhere)> so one night of horrible noise and no sleep.Really bad: We signed up for the breakfasts (28E, so pretty expensive for what it is). We told the hotel we did not need breakfast the last morning as we were leaving too early. We were told that we would get a 'to go' breakfast and should eat it during the taxi ride to the airport (at 6:00am!!!).Exceptionally rude: When we came down to leave at 6:00am, the man working the front desk would not assist us with our luggage, or even hold the door to the elevator. I was traveling with my elderly mother (88) and he would not even come outside to hold that door, or wait for a taxi. I had to run into the street to get one................I am pretty sure a Holiday Inn would have been more respectful and better service.Bad- there was a broken soap dish in my bathroom the entire stay. I left it there to see if this so called '5 star' hotel would ever change it, they did not.Bad- the heat works only inconsistently. I changed rooms to try to find heat, ended up with a space heater all week. Other guests commented their rooms were cold, as it was cold out. So not a cozy place to stay.Disappointing- we were there for Christmas week, and although the hotel has a little decorations, there is not much festivity. It was odd considering how decorated Brussels is for this holiday.Disappointing: we booked this through American Express Platinum travel, and where there for over a full week. Usually there is an upgrade, or a lovely fruit plate, something to say thank you for the long stay. There was no acknowledgement of any kind. All in all, for the money, stay elsewhere!

Vacation Trip
If you want to be like you say at the beginning of this email: "It is important to us that you feel at home at our place and you gladly like to come back", there are some things that you must improve. For example:- My room had included a Coffee expreso machine and the machine wasn't there, I have to go down to the reception show my reservation receipt in my phone, they go inside the office ( with my personal ph. ) to prove to the manager that I'm was correct and then they were able to give me the machine. Unbelievable !!!- The Air conditioning wasn't working properly ( first night I can't sleep because of that ), I made a request to fixed in the morning they never went to fixed, when I return to the room at night, I have to made the same request, they offered me a new room, but the Air conditioning was in the same situation, so that means that all rooms are on the same situation till you made a complaint and they change a switch on the machine, that was exactly wat a technician made infant of me, he think that people didn't realize that they are "apparently" fixing a amachine with no tools, that was funny, !!, but unacepatable.- The last day when we leave the hotel in the morning at 8.30 am after the check out, no one was at the door, for nothing.- They should improve their english, because some times the communication becomes complicated.- Amenities inside the room should be improved and cleanliness too.- Is true, that they were asking before, if everything was Ok with the AC, but they should have the machines working properly always, guest doesn't needs to make claims to have things working os simply to have thing that were already paid.

Very professional staff and amicable. Always eager to help and serve and this with a smile. Refreshing! Hotel is clean, quite and effectively operated. Breakfast has improved tremendously and now is of high quality. So is the bar-restaurant. Reception, valet, restaurants and bar attendants are very nice and effective people. I will come back next time I am in Brussels

Been travelling for last 20 years in the North America and Europe. This trip especially due to the hospitality at Steiugenberger Wilcher's Hotel is memorable. Overall it is a highly satisfying experience to stay at this hotel. Excellent staff in warmth, humble attitude, support and forward looking.

Highly recommended to stay here and feel not only safe but happy!

Breakfast, Reception, Dinner at Restaurant and general attention is surprisingly high at this hotel.

Had a very interesting discussions with the General Manager of this property. Mr. Michel Cottray too was humble and warm. I will certainly choose this hotel during my next visit and even look forward to bring my Family to visit Brussels.

The shower head literally fell off and I narrowly missed a big injury. I have expressed my dissatisfaction and requested the night be complementary as also the heat never worked, hence being brought a space heater at midnight, and there were stains on the floor. Please see pictures. I am traveling to support a worthy cause and have requested not to be charged.  I do not wish to have an upgrade as they offered. I would prefer the foundation I'm assisting not be charged for the stay as it was not acceptable.

We went to a ball, so I cannot say anything about the bedrooms.
The location is very good and central, the ballroom very elegant. The service was only soso. Our full glasses were removed while we were dancing to oblige us to pay for more drinks at the bar. Sad.
