Brussels beauty
I booked the Chatelaine with little knowledge of what I would be getting.
To my surprise and delight I lucked out as the hotel was outstanding.
The executive room was spacious and perfect for a short trip.
The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the room service meals were as good as anything I’ve ever had anywhere.
Another added bonus is that it is located just off the leading shopping street and 10 minutes from the Eurostar terminal.
So all in all a real find!

Cozy boutique hotel
This boutique hotel is well located nearby the place du Chatelain where there are a few restaurants. Also it is very close to the famous avenue Louise. The room in itself is a little bit dated and could be refurbished although the size is quite big. Same comments for the bathroom. The bar is nice, cozy and welcoming with a fireplace. The barman was very cordial. As for the breakfast and considering the high price I found the quality and the choice of dishes to be insufficient and a bit cheap. In addition the waiters present that morning were not particularly friendly. The reception staff was on the other hand nice, smiling and helpful.

Still My favourite
I stayed at Le Chatelain some years ago. We were very happy about our stay. This time we stayed 2 nights. We discovered that there was a possibility for a Shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication, we waited and no one showed up. We took a taxi and once we got to the reception understood the miscommunication. The staff was helpful, professional. They upgrated our room , offered us a basket of fruits. The hotel is very well located and if one doesn't want to walk the tramways will bring you to The Sablon, le Palais de Justice etc..I hope to return soon.

Overnight in Brussels
I stayed overnight and it was my first trip to Brussels. The staff were very welcoming and professional .
The room was lovely, the shower wonderful
Written Instructions on how to use the radio pod deck would have been useful but that is a small thing.
The buffet breakfast was lovely and had everything from bacon, eggs sausages, cold meats and cheese and fruit and bread and cereal.

The toiletries in the room were wonderful and it was good to have a fridge in the room.
My only thing that I did not like was they took my debit card in case of indemnities and I had to enter in my pin which they said they would cancel the next day.

My biggest concern was that they took a photocopy of my passport. All they said is it would be shredded and no explanation as to why this had to be done.

In the UK we are big on data protection and have the GDPR a new act which will protect our information. I have no assurance that my data has been shredded correctly.
I have never had my passport details taken by a hotel ever and i have travelled many places.
Is this a thing in all Brussels hotels?

Apart from that, I had a lovely stay and felt safe in the area when i went out for dinner in the evening.

Great experience during IWD 2018 celebration gala dinner
I visit this place several times during the PWI - Professional women's International organization networking events and each time we had a professional experience at the lobby at the bar and at the restaurant.
We had the IWD - International Women's Day celebration on Mach 8th and everything was perfect : the food, the service, the decor and the ambiance. They have a cocktail from the house with red berries that you should try. I always come back here with lot of pleasure to met and work with Marion Pantel !

A good hotel but still a little too much expensive
I stayed at Le Chatelain due to a work trip to Brussels. Is a beautiful hotel with an aceptable seize of the rooms and also very comfortable beds. They have good room service and the Breakfast is good (althoug I didnt enjoy it since I was ill during most part of my stay).
The location is good also, a lot of restaurants, tram station, supermarket, louise avenue, nearby.
The low part would be the way they handle emergencies. In my case I needed a termometer since I wasnt able to find mine, and they havent any of the necessary for dealing with it. I asked them then for a little late check out, telling them that I had been feeling very very bad (fever) and they didnt manage to help me at all. They were just full.
I understood that they were full but you should treat your guests better if you consider yourself a 5 stars hotel. Is not the case, in any way.
The gym or fitness center is decent, not much space but you manage to do something with it. The low part is the gym opens late (7 am).

I consider this a too expensive hotel for the service they provide. Is recomendable but still they need to do a lot of improvements.

Best hotel in Europe
This hotel was fantastic - my room or suite was so comfortable, clean and luxurious. A simple chocolate on my bed everyone night was a lovely touch. Decaffinated coffee was available in my room without having to ask for it. All the staff at the reception we’re so helpful and thoughtful. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and would certainly stay there again. Thanks for a wonderful 3 nights and fantastic breakfast.

Nice, Friendly, But not 5*
I stayed here for two nights travelling for business. This is nice, small hotel in a reasonably good location, with lots of cafes, restaurants and bars around. The hotel itself is a little bit old and could do with modernisation. It definitely isn’t 5* - more like 3/4*.
The staff were very nice and friendly. They genuinely cared about your needs and were always happy to assist. Be aware if your out at night in the vicinity of the hotel, 50 meters from the hotel exit is a hot spot for prostitutes!

The breakfast was great and fresh. The rooms spacious and over all I am not giving this hotel a 5 out of 5 due to the lack of modernisations of the hotel.

We hosted our first in-person business event for our group in Brussels. Le Chatelain was suggested as a wonderful place to host the week-long event we would be holding and capable of hosting our guests in the hotel. The hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. Anticipating needs, always making sure our guests were comfortable and our meeting successful, was clearly top of mind and focus for their team. A special thank you to Xavier, Raul and the whole team for welcoming and hosting our event with professionalism and the perfect touch of care. We will be back and highly recommend Le Chatelain for meetings or a get away in Brussels

Acceuil très pro. La chambre était top. Grande propre. Un petit bémol la salle de bain un peu petite et le manque de lumière dans la douche .
Le prix hyper raisonnable. Petit déjeuner en buffet dans une salle agréable. Bref pour le prix sur samedi soir très très bien

Short stay there for a business workshop, and I have to admit that everything was perfect. The room was nice, excellent internet connection, staff there ready to help. Very nice setup too, and a welcoming patio to have a chat on a summer day. 20 min by cab from the railway station. Think about this place if you want to organize a small workshop or meeting (up to 30 people)

Stunning hotel with hospitable services and at a very reasonable price. Rooms are super comfortable and the bar is charming. It's not located in the city centre but the Châtelain (Kastelijn) district is well-accessible and not as crowded, a very wise choice for those who don't "need to" stay near the Grand-Place (Grote Markt). There are all sorts of restaurants and shops near the hotel to keep you entertained.

Statues there for about 10 days recently with work. The upgraded room was a lovely size with a small couch and nice sized desk to work at.  I always ask for a quite room and had one at the back of the hotel which suited me as I wasn’t around during the day to enjoy any views. I found the room ran a bit hot but you can open a window if wanted which is useful and found the bed very comfortable.

Excellent hotel, looked after well.  Room was spacious and clean.  Staff were always friendly and helpful.  The bar is nice and cosy, and the outside one looks lovely, but couldn't use it due to the weather.  Gym is great and you get a good view of the city from the roof top.  Have stayed in this hotel there times and would definitely stay again.

Description

Location
Although it has the 1000 postcode of central Brussels, Le Châtelain is actually on an anomalous spur that runs to the south-east along the Avenue Louise, where the boroughs of Saint-Gilles and Ixelles meet. Within walking distance is the Horta Museum and numerous other classic Art Nouveau buildings, and excellent art museums (the Musée d’Ixelles and Meunier Museum). Trams (93 and 94) run up to the Place Louise, Brussels’s top shopping district, and a gateway to central Brussels; the Grand Place is just a 15-minute walk beyond.
