Hotel Van Cleef

From the minute we arrived until the minute we left everything was perfect. The team are all so welcoming and friendly and the hotel is beautiful. Our room was a canal view suite and it was very nicely decorated. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the hotel is in a quiet location so we slept really well. Breakfast was fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. The pastries were delicious and we also had pancakes and waffles and eggs benedict, although not on the same day! The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the main squares so it was great for exploring Brugge. We had drinks on the lovely terrace a few times and also we had afternoon tea which was superb. All in all a lovely stay in a lovely city. We can’t wait to return.

As others have said, from the moment you arrive the Hotel staff treat you as old friends or even family! Exquisite service at all times of day and the terrace is a special place to enjoy an evening drink or nightcap. The building is a beautiful old private residence, decorated tastefully and thoughtfully throughout. Such a warm place to stay and a welcomed reverie from bustling Brugge! Thank you to everyone at Van Cleef for making us feel so welcome on our first visit to this historic city.

This is an amazing boutique hotel that makes you feel like you are part of their family. Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The staff is so welcoming, the spaces warm and comfortable and the breakfast so delicious. We truly felt at home and couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will absolutely go out of our way to come back and stay longer.

Amazing service, good quality, great breakfast. We stayed in two rooms with children. The staff and owner are taking care in the best way. Unfortunately a problem with the AC could not be solved and due to the heat wave the upstairs room was not bearable. I understand they couldn't help it but we would have wished for any kind of accommodation to compensate the inconveniences. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Still a five star rating overall!
