Hotel Marthahaus Bern

This hotel/pension is a great quality for the price.
The tenants were very friendly and helpful. They helped us to find a parking place even when we had not booked one in advance.
The shower and the toilets were on each floor, and not in each room. But this was not a problem at all as they were very clean (this is Switzerland, after all !) and we did not have to wait.
The breakfast was great for the price.
The neighborhood is very calm.

Good hotel and nice stuff. The windows let in too much light and for light-sensitive people like me, it is very easy to wake up earlier than you wanted and there is nothing to do about it, except hide under your blanket.

Excellent stay!  Breakfast and public transportation tickets are included which is convenient.  Very clean and linens are included as well.  They have travel adapters which is nice because my friend forgot his. Nice peaceful stay!

I payed CHF 80 for a single room with shower on the floor, and with excellent breakfast. This is a very reasonable price for Berne, probably the most reasonable you'll find in this city (apart from the Jugendherberge, but there you don't have private rooms). The room was quiet, apart from the elevator which could be heard whenever somebody used it. Everything very clean and tidy. Go there!
