Worth every Euro
Arrived for four nights, became too unwell to travel so extended our stay in two, then one night increments. The wonderful service and excellent support from all the staff was outstanding. The Concierge desk took all the hassle out of re-booking our return flights and genuinely assured us 'just ask for anything you need!" The hotel itself was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Room service kept us nourished and hydrated and we had a wonderful sense of being in the very best place under less than ideal circumstances. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Sofitel Berlin Kurfuerstendamm - we are unlikely to return to Berlin but have become very committed to the Sofitel brand and will book with confidence anywhere in the world.

Great location with oversized rooms!
My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights over Christmas and we were very pleased with the hotel! If you are lucky enough to have club level access at this hotel it will exceed all of your expectations since you get access to free breakfast in the morning and pre dinner drinks and snacks! The hotel is situated right within walking distance of many different subways and buses so getting around the city is very easy. If you like to shop then this is the perfect location for you. Steps away from the main shopping street and any store you could imagine. The room was larger than any other hotel room we have stayed at in Europe so that was a plus and the bed was beyond comfortable! I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

A nice hotel with good location
We had a nice three-night stay at The Sofitel Kurfurstendamm.

The location of the hotel is very good. Next to Ku´damm for great shopping (also less than 10 minutes to KaDeWe) and five minutes walk from Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten.

When we checked in we were given the choice to stay in the 3rd floor in a newly refurbished room, or at a higher floor which was not refurbished yet.
We decided to go for a refurbished one.

The room was spacious and nice, large windows, a Nespresso machine, Elton sofa, lamps and furniture by Jan Kleihues and art by Toscanelli.
There was a walk-in closet and a marble bathroom with separate bath and shower. The amenities in the bathroom are Lanvin products which is a nice touch.

Service at the hotel was friendly and overall good.

There is some room for improvements:
-Only one hour late check out for Le Club AccorHotels members (even one hour is chargeable for non members).
-The floor in the lobby was somewhat tired.
-They forgot to replenish coffee capsules one of the days.

Was there for two nights...its a big hotel with lots of space and therefore big spacious rooms.
Personel very friendly and helpful.
One night we even had one of our rooms upgraded which I found to be owesome.
With this level of a 5 they can improve on their breakfast and add more varieties especially on fresh fruits and veges and fish. It was just okay for me but not wow!!
Some hotels of this standards have bathrobes and slippers in the room but I had to call reception to make a request which was done immediately.
A request for a taxi to the airport was done in two minutes.
Another minus point is the spa. I  wished with their standard they could have a 24 hour running sauna. Unfortunately it only serviced half time.
And therefore  in general only 4 from me.

Great hotel-Great location. Wonderful hotel in the perfect location when visiting Berlin. The hotel is on a fairly quiet side street away from the main road which is great. It’s literally 1 minute walk to the main shopping/restaurant areas and, at the right time of year, 3 minutes to the Christmas market. 10 minute walk to the main train station and shorter walk to the underground. The 5 star hotel deserves 5 stars. The staff, facilities and amenities are worthy of this. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Berlin. I’d like to think I’ll return one day.

We were staying in the hotel for 6 nights for vacation' I really don't know why it is a five-star hotel. the cleaning services are so bad, we had to call the reception to make sure they will clean our room. On the 2nd day, the toilet paper was over and they didn't refresh it which was very uncomfortable (putting it mildly), and they also didn't refresh the soap, shampoo almost through our entire stay.
the toilet, the bath, and the sink cleaning were in lack too.
the room was very old and not well equipped, the team didn't replace the coffee cups and we had to call reception for tea and coffee refill since it didn't happen daily (once in all our stay).
coffee machines are only available in "premium rooms" according to the staff, in a 5-star hotel (which was half empty), in 2022.
we were in Berlin many times, this is definitely not the best deal in the city, there are better hotels for less the price.
if it was possible, I was reviewing it for less than 1 star!

Description

Location
The hotel is literally surrounded by high-end fashion boutiques, great restaurants and cultural venues. The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and Berlin Zoo are a five-minute walk along the road, the Theater des Westens is around the corner, and the Deutsche Oper House and Schaubühne can be reached in around five minutes with public transport.

Access and transport
The Sofitel Berlin Kurfuerstendamm hotel combines art and architecture. The French influence, which adds a touch of exclusivity, can be seen throughout the hotel. Designed by award-winning architect Jan Kleihues, this luxury hotel is characterized by elegance and understatement. The 5-star superior hotel has 311 rooms and suites and is located in the heart of the City West area, close to the legendary Kurfürstendamm shopping area. The popular C/O gallery is just a stone's throw away.

Food & drink
The buffet breakfast is served on the first floor and features the usual ensemble of breads, fruits, mueslis and cold cuts, as well as hot dishes like sausages, eggs and bacon and a few treats like salmon sashimi and a good variety of freshly squeezed juices.
The main restaurant, Le Faubourg, with its low-lit designer chandeliers, Bauhaus-style aesthetic and eye-catching wall-length wine vitrine, has an intimate and upscale atmosphere. The menu consists of immaculately presented French classics – steaks, scallops, barbecued lamb, as well as vegetarian options – with an occasional German twist.
A more casual menu of sandwiches, salads and Flammkuchen can be enjoyed at the adjacent bar, whose colourful furnishings, great cocktail and wine list and weekend DJ policy make it a pretty upbeat place.

Value for money
Double rooms from €103 (£90) in low season; from €315 (£275) in high. Breakfast €30 (£26) per person. Free Wi-Fi.
