Perfect Chrismas
We had 3 nights in a deluxe room over Christmas & it was a perfect stay.

The hotel is in a perfect spot - we could walk to everything.

Staff in reception & concierge were all charming & very helpful.

Our room was spacious beautifully decorated & comfortable. House keeping was impeccable.

The food in the restaurant - both the Christmas Eve special menu & the usual menu was excellent. Christmas Eve was handled beautifully with staff being both charming & efficient in a full restaurant.

Staff in the bar were also lovely & the food was excellent.

This is the 3rd Christmas we have spent in a German Rocco Forte hotel & it was our favourite.

Top location, excellent breakfast, great staff
The location of Hotel de Rome could not be any better for someone who would like o see the main sights and close to the trendiest neighbourhoods. The rooms are very generously arranged (huge bathrooms), the entrance of the hotel is quite impressive being it an ex bank, but what I liked most was the long and delicious breakfasts. The breakfast area is beautiful, light big tables, and the breakfast are did close very late. So perfect for everyone who would like to enjoy a late Berlin night out or just sleep much...
I would also like to mention the professional staff in all areas (reception, spa, food service in general). Had fun conversations with much of the staff, all with the typical Berlin humour and the Berliner Schnauze

Very nice hotel
The hotel is centrally located, with walking distance to history museum, pergamon museum, berliner dom and many other attractions. It is just by the Humboldt University with beautiful buildings. You will like the spacious rooms and friendly staff. Just stay there!

One of the top luxury hotels in Europe! No reason to look elsewhere in Berlin
Everything about our stay was perfect. The decor of the hotel is a magnificent. All the rooms are large and beautifully designed. Service was perfect throughout. We arrived from New York City at 9:00am and not only was our room ready upon arrival, we also received an Amex platinum room upgrade The hotel buffet breakfast was terrific. The hotel location is outstanding and quiet. The swimming pool located in a former bank vault is a real jewel.

Exceptional stay
I stayed at the Hotel the Rome for a business event and had the best time! I rarely experienced such a warm welcome at a hotel with staff that showed they were here to provide an out of the ordinary service to their guests.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The breakfast has an amazing amount of choices and delicious home made bread!
And the spa area is definitely worth a visit! A spacious pool with playful lights and relaxing music awaits! And as this building has previously been a bank, they kept some elements, like the save in the basement, pretty cool!

Description

Location
Located on historic Bebelplatz, Hotel De Rome is one of the most prestigious luxury hotels in Berlin. Once the headquarters of the esteemed 19th century Dresden Bank, it’s a place where heritage and stylish modernity meet.

Step through the impressive stone entranceway, with its grand Atelier Prométhée magenta urns and Olivia Steele’s neon birdcage, and you’ll immediately be met by a sense of glamour. Swim a few laps in the jade-coloured waters of our indoor swimming pool, housed within the former jewel vault. And after dark, watch the Berlin skyline light up while sipping cocktails on the Rooftop Terrace.

When you’re finally ready for bed, retreat to your supremely comfortable suite and sink into a sumptuous king-sized bed. Blending heritage design with elegant contemporary furnishings, we can’t think of a better place to drift off to sleep in the heart of Berlin.

Rooms
The 145 bedrooms and 37 suites are decorated in the same style as the rest of the public areas (with the exception of the flamboyant lobby): neutrally coloured walls, striped curtains and patterned carpets with high-quality and comfortable furnishings and beds. In-room amenities include large-screen televisions, lengthy work desks and high-standard espresso machines.

Bathrooms are large with heated tiled floors, walk-in showers and baths, and designer products, and the roomy suites have balconies overlooking Bebelplatz. For something special, check out the Renaissance Room, a former meeting room for the bank's top brass that's been kitted out like an executive office with oak panelling and a hidden bookcase door; or the contrastively colourful Bebel Suite with wraparound terrace, hardwood floors and library of over a thousand books.

Value for money
Double rooms from £272 in low season; and from £658 in high. Breakfast included, costs €38 (£33). Free basic Wi-Fi (high speed €20/£17 per day).
