Bergen Hostel Montana

Fresh and renovated hostel with a big and well-equipped guest kitchen. Toilet and shower in the dorm but also toilets/showers on the hallway. The room was extremely tiny but had good views. Location is far from the city but the bus goes fairly often and there’s a small grocery store closeby. I wish I would not need to pay extra for the sheets.

Best hotel you can find with cheap price. Spent five days living in Montana hotel in the end of May. Everything is good and even better than expeation. The hotel is right by the ulriken mountain. Hotel is clean with good decent showers and toilet to use. Outside is quiet mountain. I have never heard any traffic noise. To sum up: good and cheap.

Very nice hostel close to Ulriken, and with a very nice view of the city and also pretty close to the centre. Well communicated by the number 12 bus. There are a lot of different room options, ranging from a dormitory bed with shared bathroom to private rooms with baths ensuite. There is a nice and well equipped kitchen, nice and spacious common areas, lots of nice outside areas. The breakfast is very good with a very good variety and there are foods (pizzas and lasagna) available for purchase in the reception as well as other snacks and other useful articles. The best asset of Montana is its staff, all of whom are very kind, serviceminded and helpful. The hostel also provides a lot of fun activities for people staying there, both in- and outside of the establishment. The hostel charges 70 nok for bed sheets and towels, but you can of course bring your own. All in all a very positive experience, I can definitely recommend Montana Vandrerhjem and I will no doubt return at my next visit to Bergen.

Great place to stay with many activities to do and super friendly people. The only downfall would be the rooms are not well soundproofed so noise from outside in the corridors travels inside.
