Schlaffass - Schlafen im Holzfass

Place looks amazing in the evening when you walk through lighten wooden deck to the barrel. It feels like teleporting to some tropical camping area. Very cosy, functional and romantic inside of barrel. It was a perfect place for us to rest during our road trip to Alps. On place you will find a ‘mini bar’ with local red wine - very tasty! Also accessing the barrel late in the evening was no problem - we received a pin code for barrel that worked until midnight. We could drive with no rush worrying that someone needs to wait for us till late. We only wish that cafe next to the barrel camping was open not only during weekends / than our stay would be pure perfection.

A very cute, attractive and exciting concept of accommodation - you truly end up in a barrel, but a spacious one where being crammed is the last thing you get. A perfect place for a sleep over on a long drive somewhere. Self check in and out. The drawback is a total absence of thermo insulation which is no issue in a warm season, but becomes a challenge in a miserable weather. The exact same applies for communal showers. Hot air blowers do the trick, but they are noisy and the warmth effect goes away within a minute they are off. Also, one ladies' and one men's restroom (and as many shower units) per 20 double or quadruple bedroom barrels is ticking bomb.

Nice and cozy, very clean, in the middle of a small forest, heating available, showers and toilets are outside of the wooden barrel, but work just fine - a must-do for every "glamper".

Overall it was a great stay. Shower and toilet clean and nicely furnished. Sleeping barrel was even better than I imagined. Slept very well and interior was totally comfortable and comfortable. Was enthusiastic. The only negative point: the entrance. To get to the sleeping barrel village, everyone has to go through the restaurant. We were out all day and we looked accordingly. And had to go through the terrace of the restaurant to get to the sleeping barrel. It was very busy that evening (Saturday) and I didn't feel comfortable walking through it. Find that an extra input belongs.
