Hotel 't Sandt Antwerpen

The hotel itself is nice, clean, breakfast is good, and staff very friendly. But the room is way overpriced for what you get. Sure, it’s central (still quite a walk to some shopping areas) but not worth the €300/night price on a room that to me is worth around €120-150/night. It felt like they tried to be cheap with everything. The toilet paper was a cheap and rough thin layer - and why only 1 and a half rolls given? Pillows completely flat and bed felt like it was sinking in some areas, it didn’t feel like real effort in the design / not tasteful and maybe grandparents would love it. No coffee machine in the room, only 1 small water bottle for 2 guests? Room doesn’t even dial front desk (are we in the 80s literally)? No towel racks in the toilet, no coat racks.. I’m just a bit stunned at the price and positive reviews.. the bathroom was the only thing really nice.. with proper attention to detail and improvements this hotel has potential.

Fastest check-in ever! Were surprised that they didn't ask our COVID passport, just welcome and greet us and gave us the key. Staffs were very nice. Everything works well, breakfast until 11am, check-out at 12pm. Room amenities are somewhat okay, very compact. Bed was okay, heater you can adjust and it can go very hot, which is nice in winter. But in the morning it can be quite loud, housekeeping can be heard talking and laughing. Earplugs could be very helpful.

Absolutely beautiful, richly textured rooms. The amenities are great and the charm of the old building shines through. The staff is very nice and the breakfast is great. It is located perfectly in the heart of Antwerp.

Beautiful old building close to the center of Antwerp and the rooms have a very authentic atmosphere. Staff is friendly and informal in a pleasant way. The one negative would be that it's not very wheelchair accessible, very small elevator and little steps everywhere, but staff was helpful in getting us a different room so the obstacles that were still there we could handle. Definitely considering going here again.
