Central location, wonderful service, modern facility wrapped inside of five classical Canal homes.
Traveled to Amsterdam in January. We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria, having booked through American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts. Met all expectations, we received an upgrade, amenities credit and wonderful breakfast daily (buffet with made to order selections). Wonderful ambiance throughout. The spa is lovely. Best of all were the staff, all of whom were skilled and engaging. We were impressed with the personal attention, hand-written notes and thoughtful treats. Great location on an interior canal makes walking easy to any attraction. Ask concierge for restaurant recommendations. You won't be disappointed.

Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is an exceptional hotel
Stayed here for a few night getaway in January. The hotel has lots of history that was gladly pointed out at a tour at check in. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome offering various tips for our first trip to Amsterdam. Loved the city and will definitely return to this hotel. Location was perfect for walking

Excellent staff, gorgeous hotel rooms and fantastic garden right in the city center
We booked the Waldorf in Amsterdam as we appreciate excellent service and spotless rooms. This what we got and more. The hotel is located in the middle of Amsterdam’s city center right at one of the canals. Valet parking of course. Kind and welcoming staff. The garden is historic and lovely with a beautiful terrace. Their high tea is a must! We’ll be back here. PS The vault bar is excellent for pre drinks

Total Luxury
Stayed just after new year. Had 2 rooms. This is by far the best hotel in Amsterdam and in fact one of the best hotels in Europe. If you are in Amsterdam don't consider any other hotel. The rooms are a reasonable size and if you can book a canal view room. The breakfast was good however service was not consistent. I dined on 3 different nights and the service was exceptional. A special mention to Geoffrey who only want to please his guests. The team at the hotel are warm and professional and don't be afraid to use the services of the concierge. She was so helpful with recommendations for local experiences. I can't wait to go back. Just love Amsterdam and this amazing hotel. As for location you are a short walk from every thing. Yes walk that is why the Dutch are all so fit and look after themselves

Amazing spa for relaxing
The Waldorf Astoria is one of the highlights in Amsterdam. The service is outstanding everyone is more then willing to help you and make your stay better. The food and drinks are amazing even if you go for a cocktail. What I def can recommend is the Spa of Guerlain. Such a beautiful space, you don't have the feeling you are int he middle of the city centre. And the girls are so kind the service here is again outstanding

Perfect stay!
We stayed at the Waldorf for four nights, our first visit to Amsterdam. We could not have had a more perfect experience from the room to the facilities generally but most especially - the incredibly warm and gracious staff. We felt like we were in the best of hands, coddled and cared for in every way. We’ll be back at there’s no question that we will be staying at the Waldorf!

Waldorf Astoria is probably today’s best hotel in Amsterdam. It is certainly not among the cheapest but if you are looking for a 5 star top hotel experience, don’t look any further.
Great location downtown Amsterdam, very professional and friendly staff, the hotel offers an indoor pool & gym, great spa facilities and two restaurants of which one with 2 Michelin stars (note: not open every day). The rooms are decorated with an eye for style, we opted for a King Grand Premier Room (has a larger bathroom) and were upgraded to a Canal View King Grand Premier Room. At arrival you even get to choose the odeur for your room. The hotel has around 90 rooms that are divided over 6 canal houses, which assures an intimate experience. Valet parking service at your disposal. This was not our first time at this hotel and we definitely will return.

The hotel is amazing and the staff made sure that our 2-night stay was memorable. They made sure that all of our needs were fulfilled. My two children will remember this stay for a very long time and could not wait to come back. While our stay was during the lockdown, the staff did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They also sent us several communications ahead of time to let us know what to expect and what the government restrictions were. They even got our 2 children some very nice stuffed animals as souvenirs. We cannot wait to come back

The Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam was hands down the best hotel experience we have ever encountered.  Every single staff member was courteous, professional, and helpful.  The concierge staff went above and beyond to help us navigate Dutch covid testing requirements and arrangements for testing, plus helped with museum and tour tickets.  The hotel itself was beautiful, comfortable and clean.  The food in the restaurants was delicious and the waitstaff was attentive.  We loved our stay!

We only visited the hotel for lunch at Spectrum Restaurant but it gave us a really nice Overall experience about the hotel and brand Waldorf Astoria. Excellent service from the beginning until the end. The restaurant was extraordinary and they meet our wishes. Overall, after this nice experience we will consider to stay in this hotel when we visit Amsterdam again in the future.

Staying at this hotel is an amazing experience.  I've stayed here numerous times and leave more impressed after each stay.  Everything from communication before arrival, the arrival experience, the building, the room, the facilities, the house cleaning, and especially the staff, is exceptional.  Giving this hotel the credit it deserves requires more than a paragraph review, but succinctly put, its easily among the best hotels in the world.  On a side note, the Hilton Diamond benefits applied at this hotel are fabulous and unparalleled in my long running experience with the Hilton chain.

Muted blue, cream, and grey tones continue through the rooms. Classic good taste prevails – here a Queen Anne table, there a contemporary designer coffee rest. Today’s mod cons are all present – espresso machines, laptop-sized room safe, free Wi-Fi – but it’s the thoughtful, simple touches that makes rooms a haven for stressed travellers: light switches that don’t completely baffle you as to what’s what; an entertainment system that doesn’t require 20 minutes of manual-reading first; all-round lighting on the bathroom mirror.

Even at standard level, both rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally spacious. The top-range suites have period architectural elements intact, and the rooms under the rafters are favourites for their quirkier, more individual charm.
