Helnan Marselis Hotel

Spent 10 days. The breakfast is very limited if you want a cooked breakfast. Only had egg and bacon as hot options, not even toast available. The restaurant was closed, so no launch or dinner available, at least 30min walk if you want food. The house keeping is not good, they did not even remove dirty cups or straighten the sheets, don't think they changed them. No tea and coffee in the room.

I do not understand why this is a 4 star hotel. That it’s old and needs renovation is one thing, but the breakfast, service at check-in and room amenities do not make it 4 stars at all. Starting with the check-in, the guy was quite clumpsy, and not very welcoming. Than the room amenities, i expect a few things in a 4 star hotel room, under which a minibar, coffee-tea facilities, roomservice menu/hotel information in the room and as they have a swimming pool als slippers and a bathrobe to use. Than the breakfast, it was basic and good, but too basic compared to breakfast I have had in other 4 star hotels in denmark.

Very spacious room with an amazing view at the sea. Depending on which room you get some walking may be required as the corridor is very long. However, WLAN was fast and stable even in the most distant room. The breakfast offered everything one may expect without any big surprises. I was delighted to find proper bread and plenty of cheese. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the park and harbor but getting into the city where most of the restaurants are located will require some walking.

Dirty and not in 4 stars standards. We spent 2 nights in this hotel and were really disappointed. The view to the sea is thus amazing but the service level is clearly unsatisfying. The swimming pool area is dirty and cold, dont count on it to relax. The bathroom needs a refreshment : mold on seals and dirty curtain. We kindly asked to be given bathrobes, "no more", like forever or for tonight ? They clearly didn't tend to please their guests. Furthermore, for the check in the employee was unwelcoming, compared with the former danish clients, apparently international customers deserve to be treated poorly. Big disappointment in Helman Marselis Hotel!
